O-Bashers... Why does Woodward get a pass? Failed to keep Brady. Paid Pelini 2+ million

Woodward said he had Brady all locked up for months. And if Brady loved the NFL so much, why would he leave the Saints?
And $2,000,000 plus for Pelini? Pelini was on a 4-year approx $200K contract at Youngstown St. LINK
Woodward skates? Makes no sense.

He's part of the Baton Rouge good ole boy network.

$$$$$$ Go look at what he made in New Orleans vs. LSU.

Money and to get experience to quickly become the actual OC. He would never be the OC under Payton.

Exactly my point. Brady would have stayed for Pelini money.

He was making pennies with the Saints. He left for an advancement opportunity and to make a name for himself.

Was a terrible decision by all involved, including Woodward.

Woodward or any AD for that matter wouldn't have turned down a coach coming off a natty win anyone he wanted on staff.

Brady was getting paid peanuts with the saints. He made a lot more at LSU. It’s common knowledge he wanted out of college after 2019.
But yes the pelini contract is mind boggling.

Woodward seems to go get who he’s told to get. The contracts are ridiculous, but he gets the guy that’s wanted.
I’m not sure if this is good, but it’s what we have.

So
Give him 2 mil. Woodward dropped the ball on the Brady deal

You know that hot chick that dumped you even though you did everything to make her want to stay? It's your fault for "failing to keep" her.

Bashing Woody for not keeping Brady shows how ignorant you are about the deal he got from Carolina. Anyone in his position would have jumped at that opportunity. Brady is going to be a NFL head coach shortly.

That is the narrative. I don't buy it.
Greatest offense in big-time college football.
He DESERVED Pelini money

Hot take on exhausted subject matter!

A grace period is warranted after 2019. Obviously, that's over and O's judgement shouldn't carry the same weight moving forward. Woodward will be judged by what happens in '21 and '22.

The Pelini contract is just stupid money. There was absolutely no need to overpay for him.

Most of our fans laughed at the contract Jimbo got...then were ecstatic when we got Woodward. He doesn't seem to be the best with contracts

Exhausted?
Nothing but heaping blame on O on this board. Where's Woody's share of the blame?
