If O is seen as a lame duck he may have a hard time finding top coaches.

I wish someone would seriously tell me what’s so bad about E. He’s calling a lot of the same plays from last year, he just has a terrible OL this season

these aren't the same plays as last year. Take longer to develop, more QB draws, run at less opportune times etc etc.

E sucked.

Brady showed up to “help” and E didn’t suck.

Brady leaves and now E sucks again.

Doesn’t take a rocket scientist....

Had lots of QB draw plays called last year. It’s always a less opportune time this year and particularly the game tonight because the OL is getting blown up and beat every single play. Harder to run RPO’s whenever you’re screwed whichever decision you make because your OL has no clue as to what they’re doing

Burrow looks like Usain Bolt compared to Finley.

What plays should he call then? No better plays to call than the ones we called last season. Bama and Florida call a lot of the same plays that we’re calling. Play calling is not the issue

Didn’t we go like 2 for 16 on third down?

But yeah, our play calling has been great!

Eta: and 0-10 on third down vs Mizzou.

Ensminger has been brutal.

BS. We had superior personnel last year and a QB who had the best season ever, so we didn't need anything other than what we called. This year, we need creative play-calling (misdirection, etc.) to make the D think because otherwise every play has the defense collapsing in on our QBs or RBs in a split second with no chance of success because they know Ensminger's tendencies.

It might be time to recognize that we don't have the personnel to run the offense we had last year.

The coaches need to adapt. If that means dialing it back and being a bit more conservative then so be it. But they were completely ineffective tonight

If O is to keep this thing going he has two new coordinators next season if not he’s a SEC network analysis in two years. It’s back to I’m calling our plays a 12 pack deep just like the Les Days. Tonight the coaches lost the game PERIOD. Could have EASILY beat a top 5 team and taken us out the national laughing stock but our OFFENSE lost this game

We don’t have the OL to be more conservative. We don’t have the OL and we can’t run the ball because we have no OL so that right there ruins the entire offense

We sure as hell don't have the online to be running empty sets very often either. Our QBs were getting killed.

Being conservative doesn't mean running the Les offense but dialing it back some might not hurt. If we have to use a fullback in some sets so be it. Or run some 2 back sets where the QBs have more protection.

We can't run last year's offense against talented teams. That's clear.

Alabama will shut us out at home again if we run the same game plan

He’s only seen as a lame duck to irrational LSU fans. Everyone else knows he’s not a lame duck.

I agree with this, but you missed the 800 pound gorilla in the room. We have freshmen QBs who just have not caught up with the speed of the game.

Ensminger is a very good offensive coordinator. Everyone with sense knows that. But most fans go through a simple blame-game checklist which includes:
1. Head coach
2. Offensive coordinator
3. QB
4. Defensive coordinator

And they are unable to understand that with Miles Brennan out, the historic talent exodus, and the crappy 2018 class we have one of the worst rosters in the SEC right now.
