he was running for his life on the majority of offensive snaps. He legitimately had only 1-2 seconds of protection for most of the games he played

you wasting your time talking to that nut job....and, you see the upvotes he got? That should tell you the intellect of this board.

He played half the games that Burrow played, so the sacks are pretty similar. The difference is that Burrow had a really good line that have him time to throw deep. As you have noted, it was a jail break on every single down for him, and he was lucky if he got 2 seconds. That's why no downfield throwing, and quick passes, because our OL was god awful...and our playcalling was just as bad. But, the guy you are replying to is just stupid. In addition, they think he is faking injury, but he was top 5% last year in velocity, this year he is bottom 5%. He played because, well, you saw MVB....Guys like the person you responding to, blame it all on NUSS, when no QB was going to be successful behind that OL and offensive scheme/play calling. Just let them be stupid.

ran himself into half of those because he was scared to step up in the pocket. His last snap as a Tiger pretty much sums up his pocket awareness perfectly.

Well Chase, Jefferson, Marshall & Moss were a little better than the WR product we put on the field this year plus Burrow played about 5-6 more games.

If you don’t think he wanted to play all season, you’ve got rocks in your head. You sound like someone that has never played a team sport in their life. If you’re on a team you want to be out there on every single play busting your arse. If Nuss doesn’t get hurt, this past season goes in a completely different direction.

Well Joe B was not a pussy either, at least he took off and would run downfield. Remember his words, I have a LB attitude when running. The fact is the game was to much for Nuss.

In the history of the SEC (Southeastern Conference) in college football, several quarterbacks have thrown for over 4,000 yards in a season, with notable names including Joe Burrow (LSU), Kyle Trask (Florida), Mac Jones (Alabama), and Tua Tagovailoa (Alabama), all achieving this feat in the modern era as the conference's passing game

And Burrow had an offensive line that could actually block

Yep. This place is full of retards.

I’m talking retarded in such a way that weren’t allowed on the sawed off bus.

It’s sad.

Kid is top 10 all time in yardage, 2nd most in a season ever, and 5th in TDs.

He played with God knows what injuries because Kelly was a liar and wouldn’t disclose, had one of the most purtrid fricking O-Lines ive personally witnessed, and had receivers that needed the Jugs machine in an other worldly way.

Absolute retards.

Sadly, I don’t think he has the guts to get out there and play— it sure looks like the guy just gave up ..

Nussmeier can get out there and be seen

His nfl shelf life is already dwindling too.

Does he play in an effort to get better tape out there for the draft? My guess is he will decline to play and his reasoning is to get healthy and prepare for the draft.

I suppose anything is possible in this mixed up era. Hell our coaches are coaching a different team in the playoffs… Usually any player with draft status opts out to avoid injury so I guess our injured QB with draft potential could opt in.

Nussmeier already failed us when it mattered. There’s no reason to let him play any more.

Let’s get Van Buren some more experience. He actually tried hard for us.

yeah, it wasn't Kelly, it wasn't the horrendous OL, it wasn't the OC and the play calling/scheme...it wasn't the rec's that just weren't that good, or the running backs that couldn't run or block. I do think the OL and scheme hurt the running backs, and they are talented. I also believe Nuss is very talented, but NO QB was going to be successful behind that OL and scheme/play calling...I don't care who they were...not to mention we didn't have near the playmakers at WR that Burrow had.

There's a reason that Nuss was still going out there, even though his injury put him in the bottom of QB's in terms of velocity, when he was at the top the previous year.....the coaches knew that MVB wasn't it, at all. What is he getting more experience for? you guys think he can run, he can't. He was not accurate at all, and offered no running...and got sacked more than Nuss per number of snaps. No one can take you serious wanting him to play because he tried. I think there is another reason.

Are you measuring Nuss with the same measuring tape as Burrow and Daniels?
How many games have they missed due to injuries?
Daniels played in his first game since he went out with injuries earlier in the season. He was about as effective as Nuss, last weekend. He completed about 1/'3 of his passes.
I'm confident you will be dogging him just has hard as you do Nuss. Not!

His final play at LSU was a quarterback sack vs. Texas A&M. Brian Kelly pulled him off the field late in the game.. As he made his way to the sideline the two exchanged words. It was not a good look. I knew then the kid wasn't tough. Spoiled. He will never play for LSU again. And my guess is, he will be a lousy ambassador for LSU.
