Even though it doesn’t matter and it’s a stupid excuse because Nuss will never be Brennan’s age let’s be as objective as possible. Nuss has 57 career attempts, so we’ll compare Brennan’s first 56 attempts starting with his true fresh year before he was a starter.
Nuss
29/57
50.9% completion
329 yards
2 TDS
2 INTS
4.9 per att
5.8 per comp
103.9 rating
Brennan
34/56
60.7% completion
463 yards
2 TDS
3 INTS
8.2 per att
13.6 per comp
131.2 rating
He has no case, it’s not even close period.

Have any of three proven to be "clutch?"
Not that it should determine the starter, but Daniels certainly has led his team to more wins in close games against better teams than the ones Brennan lost to. This isn’t even debatable.

The two teams Brennan lost to scored 44 and 45 points.
Daniels has only beaten one team in his entire career when they scored more than 30 points and it was 33 points in that case.

Then why hasn't your Lord and Savior Garrett Nussmeier won the job yet?
I believe he already has and I think Daniels is going to be qb2, I just don't think it's been announced publicly yet. Please bookmark this and let's revisit it in 2 weeks

Why not?

Look, I’m not saying Brennan is bad, I’m just saying that it confuses me because people point to two of his games as positives when I see them as negatives. He played in 2 close games, both against bad teams, both within one possession the the fourth quarter, and his last handful of possessions in both, with the game on the line, were not impressive.
Seriously, just look at the last handful of possessions against Mizzou and State and say with a straight face that that represents the type of performance that LSU wants from its QB this year.

Again, they gave up 44 and 45 points in those games.
LSU receivers led the country in drops.
The offensive line couldn't get any push at all and there was no running game.
Yet Brennan gets all the blame.
On the flip side, he was able to rack up a lot of yards and touchdowns for his supporters.

So where others plaster themselves all over TikTok, Instagram and other self promoting media sites Brennan has just kept his head down

As when Nabers was asked about Myles, the first thing Malik Nabers said, was he works primarily with Nussmeier and Daniels and that he barely ever works with Myles, but Myles is accurate.
Well, I guess that settles it. Thanks for the insight.

This is 100% spot on. In the 4th quarter of the Mississippi State game, Myles put up a total of 7 points. Myles and our offense was 5 for 17 on 3rd downs in this loss and his QBR was 45.1. In the 4th quarter of the Missouri game, Myles put up a total of 0 points. Myles and our offense was 0 for 10 on 3rd downs in this loss and his qbr was 74.1. You can say what you want to about his total yards and touchdowns, but when it really mattered, Myles wasn't impressive. I walked away from these games frustrated with the defense and the o-line - they could've been better - but to say that Myles played great just isn't true

And in the 4th quarter of the Arkansas game, Nuss & Co scored 3 points before he threw an interception in overtime.
LSU only scored 13 points total in that game.
But you don't want to talk about that.

He looked timid and afraid to let it rip in those starts,
Post the stats.
Dude was running for his life. O-line was garbage. Running game sat on the bench and the defense decided to watch the fans instead of the opposing offense.
Myles threw the ball with ease when he had the time. I don't understand why everyone tried to put the losses squarely on him.

It's amazing how far Nick Dias has come. I remember him when he was a nobody on Twitter.

You really think a redshirt freshman has hit his ceiling already?!??
For this coming season? Yes. For his career? No
Max Johnson was in his 2nd year too, and the LSU starter. Is that his ceiling? Probably not. But he wasnt a world beater in that year. He had to have a miracle play just to finish .500 for the season.
And Nuss couldnt even beat out Max. However, Brennan did

Do you think Brennan would still be here if he knew he wasn't starting. What do you think Kelly told him when he convinced him to remain at LSU?
