Yeah, but we also saw Burrow make the leap to greatness the next year. We're halfway through the season and Nuss is basically the same as he was last year but with more game experience, which is very concerning.

Burrow had the same Oline, and another Joe calling plays. Chase and Jefferson almost knew how to catch. And Clyde EH was almost decent too.

It all goes back to the Oline though.

Nuss's decision making leaves quite a lot to be desired

Rushed decisions sometimes are poor ones.

The goal line pick was all on him.

If he is protected and still makes those decisions, then I’ll concede.

Besides, Joe Burrow is a generational talent Nuss is quite good on his day, but comparing him to JB is always going to leave him coming up short.

You may as well point out that he can’t run like Daniels.

So 17 more points.

I mean we’re kind of splitting hairs. I don’t think there’s that much of a difference between winning 37-10 as opposed to 41-10.

Possibly - yes. Easily…nah. The good news is, they left a lot of points on the field, and still won by

Agreed. I think it is more likely than not playing at home, but as we have discovered, nothing is easy with this offense. I am encouraged by what I saw. Just have to go and finish drives the right way.

Either way you slice it Nuss is horrendous against SEC opponents. You thought he would be better than Jayden and he just hasn’t reached the heights you and so many others swore he would.

I’m not saying the o-line is great. They are a problem that needs addressing. But too many times have I seen Nuss leave the pocket when he feels the slightest bit of pressure when he has a relatively clean pocket and it causes more problems for the line. He throws off his back foot way too often and has forced too many throws into double/triple coverage when he has a check down wide open. He has some mobility to him, but outside of Saturday night, he has refused to run the ball and remains one dimensional for the most part.

Chris Hilton has had a bad case of the drops this season and the Tech game was rough, but I think outside of that, the receivers have played pretty well when it comes to pass catching.

I mean he’s had clean pockets and still makes some awful decisions. The Ole Miss INT was literally a game changer. He threw another awful pick similar to Saturday last year against Bama. I’m not saying he has to be Burrow or Daniels. He doesn’t even have to be close to anything they were. But I was expecting much more than what we’re getting. He’s just an average QB who can make some decent throws from time-to-time. I think most of the fanbase is in agreement.

Y'all act like just all back up QBs are badass.

what's funny is people were begging for Nuss to start in 2022 and into 2023 before Daniels went off.

Stop making excuses for Nuss. He needs to be better as a 5th year senior making AT LEAST 3 Million a year in NIL.

…speculation…
$3+mil is the problem. I believe He’s better than he’s playing, but he’s playing exactly like he wants.
Daddy prolly been pushing him into QB forever. Maybe not what he wants. He’s played himself into not being draft worthy. And then there’s the cash he’s made. Has a pretty easy life ahead doing whatever he wants.
But a whole team and fan base are suffering through , wether I’m right or NOT.

After last night's 60% completion rate, he sits at 59.5% completion with 17 TDs, 12 Ints, and 6 fumbles.

More turnovers than TDs as a 5th year senior isnt acceptable.

While I too am disappointed in Nuss - unless all 6 fumbles were recovered by the other team, they are not all turnovers.

I'm still not over the pic against Ole Miss. I still say that changed the whole complexion of the game.

He can run better and would run more but MVB doesn’t have blazing speed.

Sellers is a 4.5/4.6 guy, MVB is just as fast and maybe has a better twitch.

Neither are a J.D.
