Work on timing and the deep ball please

Ummm. Let’s see. Learn to read a defense before the ball is snapped. Step up into the pocket, run (doesn’t need to be fast), throw to the open man, even if it’s for 4-5 yards. Don’t throw into double and triple coverage. Ya know, stuff like that. If you think all Daniels did was run fast you’re a very special person.

I just wish he would run more especially when he has room to pick up first downs and move the chains
We are headed back to Les Miles era

He finally has enough game film to evaluate what is true needs are.

You are still going strong. What an overly emotional idiot you are. Of course, you know more than the people who do this for a living. Nuss will be a heisman favorite next year if he comes back.....I'm sure that pisses you off because it destroys your narrative.

we need some recs that can actually get separation deep....we have only 1 that can do that, and he can't time his jumps properly. Nuss did hit some deep balls when he had some studs at WR against GA. We have possesion recs right now.

Nuss is not a good QB for these times. He doesn't run and has slow feet and can not avoid the pass rush. There is no hope for him next year. If you have slow feet you are never going to make it. Yes he can pass but a good defense will always track him down.

Nuss regressed the entire year and would probably need a miracle offseason in order to come back next year and kill it.
Nuss didn’t regress at all. He was bad all year. He basically lost the USCe game but we won miraculously. He pulled some last minute heroics out of his arse against Ole Miss. It finally caught up to him against A&M Bama and Florida.
This is who he’s been all year. He is who he is and I don’t see how accuracy can improve THAT much over the offseason. He’s just a bad QB.
Hopefully we get a decent one out of the portal. Nuss should transfer and hope he has a better year so he can be a backup in the NFL.

You think a stud will be in the portal ??
Posted on 11/26/24 at 8:53 pm to Vincenzo Pantangelli
My honest take on Nuss is, he has played well, especially when the OL has pass blocked well. When the OL has struggled protecting him, he has struggled, for him to be great, he'll need to greatly improve his decision making and post snap reads with pressure on him. He has a problem not accepting a sack or having to punt and that is his biggest weakness. If he had Nabers and Thomas this year, his numbers would be phenomenal for a first year starter. Look how well he performed in the bowl game when he had 2 first round WR talents to throw to. Let's face it, nobody on the current roster comes close to those aforementioned WR's.
Not having a good, consistent running game hurts also because you've basically made yourself one dimensional and helps the defense pin their ears back and blitz, which puts extra pressure on Nuss.
I actually think he should go pro. If all the eligible OL leave, LSU doesn't get drastic improvement from current backups or don't get all conference portal OL replacements, I think Nuss would hurt his stock by coming back.

Hahaha he’s now a heisman favorite? I find it just pathetic people just can’t seem to tell the truth about the kid. I hope he comes back. He isn’t close to an nfl quarterback. Nothing I’ve said is innacurate. The things I’ve said have been the things he’s struggled with all year. It’s just embarrassing you all can’t seem to say understand the issues he’s having. You’re probably just one of the pathetic retards who thought he was better than JD and wanted him to start over him.

He should enter the portal.

Nuss would be the #1 qb off the board in the 2026 nfl draft if he returns

I hate it for Nuss because he showed so much promise but if I'm being honest, I'd like for us to go get a stud QB out of the portal this offseason. Nuss regressed the entire year and would probably need a miracle offseason in order to come back next year and kill it.
Come on, casual. He doesn’t need a miracle. He needs a run game and a real deep ball threat. Those two things open everything up for this offense.
Nuss does need to really improve his deep ball during the offseason.

Nuss needs to scramble for a first down. Just once.
Posted on 11/27/24 at 5:13 am to TDsngumbo
Geeez. Where does this ridiculous falderal come from. He will likely finish with the 3rd best stats for a QB in a single season in LSU history.
In his first year he has 3458 yards and a 64% completion average. 23 TDs and 11 INTs.
The INTs are too high but he is a first year QB. He is still figuring it out. Another year to learn and he will win a lot of ballgames,…maybe all of them.

Do you mean on 3rd down? LSU is elite on 3rd down, leading the SEC and 7th Nationally in 3rd down conversion %. Nuss is completing 69% of his passes on 3rd down. I’m good with him throwing it.

I'll say it again. He is scared. If someone can get that fear out of him, he would be much better. Not sure that can happen.

Revisionist history. Your post is full of inaccurate statements. I don't think you are worthy of pointing out each. Not interested in conversing with you, other than to say geaux away.

He might work with his dad. However it plays out, I hope he shows the commitment that both Burrow and Daniels made. They worked hard and studied before their last season. And it showed!
