Post LSU rushing offense and the names of the single deep threat that played most of the season.

So you’re saying he did all of that without any help. No running game or deep threat.

Hey Broski
Name me a receiver / RB REMOTELY CLOSE TO these:
Bowe, Doucet, Douglas, Addai
Landry, Beckham, Blue
Jefferson, Chase, Marshall, Edwards-Helaire
Thomas Jr, Taylor, Nabers, Daniels was the run game last season.

Are you comparing Nussmeier to Andrew Hatch?

Nuss leads SEC in Ints, too.
What are your thoughts on Tommy Hodson? Was he a good QB?

Matt Flynn is a celebrated QB, look at the numbers and ask yourself if he’s ever been attacked the way Nuss is.

And his QB rating was surprisingly lower than expected. Somebody did a list awhile back of all of the previous LSU QBs and their ratings going back to Mauck I think. Flynn was just above Brandon Harris.

Given that stat also says Payton Thorne had a better season than Milroe, Ewers, and Nico, I’d take it with a grain of salt…

It's not much different than Will Rogers having that big passing yard season a couple of years ago under Leach or those Hawaii and Texas Tech QB's having ridiculous numbers in the 2000's.

It is no where near the same. I swear, you have the dumbest takes on here. LSU was not an air raid in terms of what teams were under leach...and all those older teams that you speak of didn't play ANY competition with a defense.

Under your logic, any QB can go out there and just throw 30 TD's and 4000 yards. So stupid. Also, of course he needs to improve, as do any first year or multi year starting QBs. You think JB needed to improve from 2018 to 2019? JD from 2022 to 2023 (after already having started at least 4 years in college football)?

You guys blow my mind to be honest. You and many others don't have the emotional intelligence to understand what we have in Nuss because it wasn't all rainbows and unicorns. The guy is really good, and will get better and better as he continues to gain experience in real games. I bet our WR room is happy to have him coming back.

You wasting your time trying to have a rational discussion with Broski. He reminds me of a shift worker that thinks that he is smarter than the rest of us, when in reality people on think just the opposite.

As for Lester, attention seeker, that thinks he is cute on here. He goes particularly hard on Nuss because he knows he can stir the pot. Most anyone with a brain recognizes what he is doing. It is actually pretty sad when you think about the dude spends so much time on here seeking attention.

That’s irrelevant when you miss wide open WRs. It’s not a matter of the defenses pressing the issue.

If by missing you mean not throwing to them, fine. Do you remember week after week in 2022, sports analysts breaking down film and showing open receivers that Daniels refused to throw to? In the offseason, JD learned and/or was coached to trust his throws and his receivers and 2023 became one of the best seasons by any CFB QB ever.

I would think it's a safe bet you defended JD. His benefit was he had the athleticism to run if he didn't see the open receivers. Nuss needs to do that as well, but obviously he won't get the same result. He's a bit slow on his processing and can lead to bad throws. JD was also, but pulled it down and ran.

The expectation is that with a season of play and an offseason the game will slow down, processing will speed up and decision making will improve. That is a reasonable expectation. Without a deep dive into LSU QBs past I can recall Mett, Etling, Burrow and JD all showing a significant season 1 to 2 improvement.
