if he is so good why were we on gunner so hard?

Because it is better to have 3 QBs that fit what you want to do than it is to have 2 QBs that fit what you want to do?

I don't think Randall changes positions

His HS film looked like a right handed, college Michael Vick

I just think the offense is going in a different direction, and Miles openly discussing his ability to play other positions is more than he ever led on with Shep, iirc.

I agree, he has a good arm. I was surprised to hear Miles mention WR and DB during the press conference like that.

I heard from multiple sources that Rivers is expected to compete with Mett next season. Same sources said that he's certainly the holder of most improved award at the QB position. I've also heard that unlike Mett (who is still far more talented than any of the other QBs), Rivers already knows the entire offensive playbook.

With regard to the Rivers transferring myth... Im very curious as to whether or not this is another case of "the rant" creating their own "truth" by repeating it over and over. Honestly, for all we know, Rivers could be in really good shape. He definitely has the coaching and the genes.

Other scenerios to consider:

Mett has a great season next year and says hell with sticking around for his senior year when we'll be likely losing most of the people who aren't leaving this year.

Mett gets hurt.

Kiel ends up having no work ethic, getting hurt, or simply not 'getting it'. Even now, there isn't a "we have too many qbs" situation in any of these guys minds. Next year, we'll still be one injury away from Rivers or Kiel. I'm sure Miles would love to Red Shirt Kiel anyways.

Randall will get his snaps without a doubt.

Mett has not won the job yet. All QBs will compete and the qb that shows the most poise and control of the offense will start. Mett better start working to do that or Rivers or Keil or Randall will be starting next year. No one is guaranteed or has the inside track on that spot yet.

We have to see what happens in camp. I mean damn, competition on a team is GOOD. If Rivers can't make the cut then he won't make the cut.

What are the chances he transfers now?

Why would he transfer? Afraid of the competition? He would never play qb at LSU or any other major if that was the case. I don't think that's the case.

99% chance this is the case. One person says something and the others run with it like it's gospel.

Mett may not have "won" the job yet, but he's the only one in a position to lose the job.
