What are the chances he transfers now?

1) No one here is going to know how Rivers feels about being a backup college QB for a great team.

2) Even if someone knew how he felt, still no one here would even have an educated guess on how likely it is that he transfers now, or in the future.

If the kid values being a part of a big time program and competing for championships he stays.

If the kids values playing time and being a starter he leaves.

Who knows.

Nothing good in life is handed to anyone.

Rivers will either be quality depth or an attrition candidate.

Just as a note (as some one already stated) JR, Flynn, and RP were around at the same time. And out of the three who led us to a NC. Its wayyyyy early to say who is the future of this team.

You don't know because nobody knows. Gunner could be a bust for all we know. Let him suit up and throw the ball once or twice before we just assume he is going to jump anyone. How much did people think Matt would be playing this year prior to the season?

Hes number 3 on dc when jj was suspended. Gunner will prob rs. No reason for him to transfer, he could play next year if mett sucks or gets injured.

youre a fricking idiot for speculating on whether a kid who hasnt even completed his redshirt season will transfer

why dont you let him go through a spring practice? why dont you let him go through summer workouts? why dont you let him finish his 2nd semester of school for fricks sake
I couldn't have said it better. Good post.

Maybe phrase your question a different way... I think that's why your getting the reaction from people that you are. Everyone on the Rant is just totally burnt out on qb condemnation and contraversy. IMO

We've had other highly touted recruits beaten out by players with lower 'star' rankings. The heat of the battle is really what determines your ability and it would be interesting to see how our guys do.

To be the best you have to compete with the best, don't stir up crap about transfering. I think kenny hillard stuck it out and I think it has work pretty well for him.

and everyone would have been wrong about which one would have the longer pro career / be the more serviceable NFL QB.

Someone should have started a thread about Bennie Logan transferring when Freak committed last year. Just saying

If the last few years has taught LSU nothing else, there is a need to recruit a QB every year. How could you pass on the number 1 prospect? Answer is you dont and it has nothing to do with Rivers I am sure he is quite capable, and will compete. I would think Gunner redshirts.

More likely Randall changes positions, imo.

exactly what I was thinking. Randall, I believe, has a better shot at getting in NFL at another position.
