People should forget about Jarrett Lee. He was mediocre.

Rushing yards and td's should be taken into account here too. Harris holds the lead by a wide margin 7 to 1.

His brain? His td/int ratio is nearly identical.
Yes, his brain. He clearly makes better decisions but lacks the physical ability to execute effectively. 100% of Harris' problems are between his ears.

I don't think this board is giving enough weight to the difference in OCs. Harris had to play under a joke of an offensive philosoph, that only threw in guaranteed passing situations. That is very hard to do. Meanwhile, Etling had a scheme that used the shite out of TEs finally, and threw on 1st/2nd down.
Etling has looked better, but I sure would have liked to have seen Harris with the playcalling Ensminger has done. I think he'd be a lot more comfortable and in rhythm.
I agree with this.

He is majorly better than Harris, but that really doesn't say all that much.

You honestly cant make this shite up
Yet you consistenty ignore Etling has 6 less starts than Harris and improving...
You can come up with the stats with the theory stats don't lie, well stats also don't tell the whole story either and the fact is if Harris was the equal to Etling or better he would have remained the starter, but he wasn't...

86/173 (49.7%) ---- 1199 yards ---- 6.9 yds/attempt --- 5 tds --- 8 int --- .625 td/int ratio
2-4 as a starter (frick giving him a win for Jack St)
Guess what, Etling is 0-3 vs ranked teams......

He was mediocre for 2 passes in 2011, then never given a chance again for a truly mediocre QB.

Yet you want to throw Brennan into the same fire

Also,
Etling has 21 college starts
Harris has 15
So..............

Etling has improved, Harris got worse. The thread should be over, but that's not your style.

Good stuff, very interesting.
I would add that during Etling's portion of the season, we had two RB's that set all-time yards/game totals, with both fournette and Guice occupying at least three of lsu's top five yardage totals in a game ever. That doesn't mean Etling is better than his numbers show, but that any LSU QB during this span wouldve had their stats mitigated by so much rushing dominance. It would've been interesting to see if their numbers had been similar if we were more balanced rushing vs. passing (probably).

1. That Arkansas team he got blown out by was 5-4
2. Props for completely ignoring his garbage individual stats.

Yea, frick the competition in those games, right? Harris got benched for two staright 3 and outs against Jacksonville fricking State, and Etling came in and lit it up immediately after in that game.

Harris got worse.
He did, but how much of this can be attributed to Cameron/Miles? They flat out ruined QBs. The scheme put Qbs in bad 3rd downs constantly, had no imagination, and as for skills development, I don't think Miles & Cameron are suited to coach up Jr HS QBs.

I, for one, hope that we never hire a coach that enables a pervasive rape culture. And at a baptist school, no less. It will take Baylor years to recover (at present, they have only 1 commit for 2017).
If you want that at your school, you need to seriously reexamine your priorities in life.
