Can we say for sure that anyone made a mistake in leaving?

K'Lavon Chaisson (20)
Justin Jefferson (22)
Patrick Queen (28)
Clyde Edwards-Helaire (32)
Grant Delpit (44)
Lloyd Cushenberry (83)
Jacob Phillips (97)
Saahdiq Charles (108)
Thaddeus Moss (UDFA)

Hard to argue with any of them, really. Everybody went in the Top 3 Rounds except Charles, whose extracurricular activities dropped him to the 4th and Moss, whose broken foot did the same. Sure would be nice if Brennan had that safety valve next year, though, when teams are triple-covering Chase.

Gilbert and Marshall guarantee that no one will be triple covering Chase

Are you saying we won't have enough quality WRs next season without Jefferson?

Perhaps you are talking about CEH when you say "safety valve." If so, yes that dude will be severely missed. If you mean Jefferson though, then no. We will be absolutely fine at WR as long as Marshall stays healthy. Not taking anything at all away from Jefferson, but Marshall is even better. Gilbert and a slew of others guys will fill in for a better third option than most teams can offer.

CEH was invaluable though. If you don't believe me rewatch the Bama game. Burrow deserves every single bit of credit he has received, but I don't know if we win that game without CEH making shite happen when we needed to the most.

Just Moss, I’m betting if he knew he’d had a broken foot before the combine physical and after declaring he would’ve probably made a different decision. I think he’ll stick in Washington though. They need a TE and he’ll have a great opportunity to make an impact there.

I’m pretty sure Arik Gilbert will be a nice alternative for Brennan to throw to. Coupled with T Marsh and Racey I don’t think he’s got much to complain about. Teams tripling up Chase are gonna pay big if the O-coordinators can scheme it up right

Moss.

He needed to show he could stay healthy.

Charles should’ve stayed, too. Missing six games because of suspension cost him. He needed a clean year.

Or he could have played second fiddle to Gilbert and gone undrafted again next year. Can't fault his decision at all.

Sure. He could have improved his stock by returning. He also could have ended his career with another failed test too. Not going to argue with his decision either.

You know we will have 4 1st and 2nd round guys to throw to next year right? Chase, Marshall, Gilbert, Palmer and whatever 4/5 star RB we choose. Boutte will come in at X or Z over McMath who will be drafted. Don't forget about Kirklin who is there for depth as a senior and Kole Taylor who the coaches think may play some. If there's something called too loaded that existed, LSU would be it.

Yeah. The extra few million he would have gotten by improving his stock in returning next year wouldn’t have been worth the risk of losing his career entirely. I mean he could be driving down the road with his windows rolled down and a joint could come flying into his mouth from out of nowhere. It’s not wise to take too many chances.

Moss, tho he didn’t know he had a broken foot that would keep him from the combine, or a pandemic would happen that would cancel pro days so it’s all hindsight. Probably left cuz Gilbert partly, but if he knew those things would happen I bet he woulda stayed

I mean sure, it's easy for anyone to sit here and say, "He could just not smoke." Maybe he didn't want to deal with that anymore. Maybe he wanted to get a pay check. Maybe he wanted to be done with school.

There is also no guarantee he makes millions more by coming back.
