His accent makes him unable to pronounce the first name of our starting shortstop? You can't honestly believe that.

That is how he pronounces that word. I guess you are yet another one of the people that say every word precisely as it is intended.

Do you have how petty and childish your gripes are? Just sit back and enjoy the game although it isn't as perfect as you are.

Explain how he never says "Ellabemma" when we play the Tide, but it's Elleck Box and Ellicks Bregman.

I certainly say every person's name precisely as intended. It's disrespectful otherwise.

Great, the guy we pay for his voice can't say "Alex". This is the best defense I've ever heard.

But he actually can say it, I never heard him call Alex Farrer Ellicks. But it was a different sport.

I thought Project was very clear and concise on his complaints, shared by many fans.
quote:

-He steps on the other broadcaster when he's speaking.
-He's bitter.
-He stops midway through a play to complain about the outcome of the play, and doesn't explain what happened.
-He doesn't know baseball.
-He complains about everything.
-He consistently mis-pronounces player names.
-He doesn't update the score often enough.
-He doesn't reset the action often enough, if at all.
-He has trouble distinguishing between a home run and fly out.

Most of these would be easy to deal with if he weren't so angry and negative all the time.

These might be petty to you, but maybe to others not so much.

So to summarize the comebacks/defense:

"I don't really care whats going on in the game anway, so it doesn't matter if he doesn't do a good job of explaining whats going on".

"You can't do any better."

"We can't do any better because Charlie, Kevin, and Bill aren't good either."

"Blah blah blah, something about cereal."

"He has an accent and can't pronounce Alex".

I'd add:

"These complaints are so petty"
"If you complain, you're an 'absolute fricking retard' "

Not in this thread, but in every other:

"If you say you have heard other broadcasters you are a fricking liar. LSU fans only listen to or watch LSU baseball and nothing more."

At some point, a base was referred to as a sack.
