I've been watching LSU baseball for a good while and this team has more depth of talent than any in recent memory. There will be reserves that could start for other SEC teams and more starting pitcher candidates than there are starts available. Barring injury, this will be one of Jay's best teams ever. Spring scrimmages will start in late January, a couple weeks before the season begins.

I think we will see a battle for the Friday and Saturday starter pitching wise. Really excited for the season. We have some awesome DH options, Catching options, etc. Im hoping the bullpen is lights out and everyone stays healthy. Getting tired of hearing how dominate Tenn will be based off of their Natty run last year. The SEC will be cut throat this year, and we have a gauntlet schedule.

Tough Away Games: arse&M, Horns Down, and *Dallas Baptist

Tough Home Games: Tenn, Gumps, Arky.

Shores is looking like the Friday guy as of now. Luckily, we are deep with great pitching. I just hope we destroy Tenn, TexAss, & arse&M! Less than 2 months!

Jared Jones is gonna have an incredible season.

Hope we have bats in the lineup to protect him so everyone doesn't just pitch around him.

I can't wait to see how the team has improved.

Just a couple more months and we are back baby!

Lineup and bench are much better then last season

the biggest question mark will be who emerges as the weekend starters - plenty of candidates, it's about finding the best fit for SEC rotation

Replacing Holman and Jump won't be easy but they should have more depth then last year to fill those spots

Can’t come soon enough. It’s been painful for the wait. Watched fall ball and it has me pumped for this years roster. The young guys showed out in fall ball. I’m debating making the trip to arse&M. Can’t stand their bubble blowing and ball chants, but I will make the trip to TexAss to watch us hopefully sling bombs over the wall off of one transfer who had speed, no control and no patience to develop.

I think him and Arrambide are going to be hard to keep off the field.

Maybe. I went to the Oct 13th scrimmage. Shores pitched 2 innings. Priester caught for him.

With all the depth we have, “injury” would have to mean losing half the team and then some.

Why can't someone go down there to the field? And snap a few pictures of the new concept a long the foul lines

Yep, Priester has the nod as of right now. Things could change. He caught a lot in Fall Ball
