Yeah hate to say it but Thompson pumping 87 down the middle doesn't really move the needle.
I want to see more of Dorsey (was injured early on) and Fontenot, if we're trying out new guys. I think it's too late in the year for that, though, and you probably get a healthy dose of
1. Noot
2. Schmidt
3. Rizy
4. Williams
5. Mayers
Maybe we get lucky and see Sheerin make the debut while I'm over here making predictions

I've mentioned wanting to see Jones at 3rd since preseason as a way to get more bats in the lineup, but of course if you bring any discussion like that to this board everyone just calls you a dumbass. Though in preseason I was thinking of it as a way to get Larson in at 1B

Don't know. This is two years in a row that Woods got one or two appearances and got put in the shed. I guess it's going badly in bullpen sessions, unless there are injuries that no one is talking about.

if Thompson can throw 87 down the middle every time,there is absolutely a roll available in the bullpen for that skill set. I've always thought that teams could win an extra game here and there if they knew for sure that they had someone that wasn't going to walk a batter and just let the defense play behind him

hell just having a pitcher that has one pitch that goes 87 and another pitch that's 75 is enough to be a good pitcher if he can throw both for strikes anytime he wants

especially since him and beck aren't both aren't getting to pitch ever and they have thrown a combined 6.1 innings and have yeat to give up a single earned run combined and they aren't walking guys like crazy either.
