They dont wait on the perfect pitch, if it's hittable then hit the thing instead of just going for the long ball over and over again. You live by it and you die by it when we could do both

Because they aren’t power hitters. Curiel hits a ton of ground balls. I know Curiel can hit HRs obviously but his swings just doesn’t really look like there is much power going into it.

I misunderstood the point. But if you swing early and aggressive you can easily get down into the count (whiffs, fouls) that lead to deep counts. More than one way to get into those and some for good reason.
