Thanks Dtiger. You just gave me a great example of what I am talking about. I'm sure you wear cheesy graphic t-shirts with dirty jokes on them to the games. You probably also wear cargo shorts, crocs, and throw beer on women.

Having spent close to 40 years around LSU football, I seem to find one thing in common with the majority of the awful, obnoxious, LSU fans that give our school and team a bad name. The VAST majority of them never attended LSU. Many of us have spent thousands of dollars and hundreds of hours studying to earn our degrees that we are so proud of. Non-alumni LSU fans, please don't be d-bags and try to have a little CLASS.

This is actually true. Most of them have not stepped a foot on campus other than gamedays. They dont understand the pride.

So because I chose to support my family, work 40 hours a week, all while going full time to a college here to get my degree, I should give up my season tickets because that makes me less of a fan? frick you

How do you know which fans are non alumni? When you see people acting idiots, do you ask them? I don't like seeing people give LSU a bad name either, just wondering if you just assume.

i agree with you for the most part whitelightin that a large part of the problem is the non lsu alums. Not only I dropped about $40k to go to lsu between my undergrad and grad degrees but also I spend 2k+ between tickets etc each year and if I opt to leave early b/c I think the coaches haven't done their job in preparing the team, that's my decision.

I agree for the most part that non lsu alums don't understand it and they probably care less when our alma mater is played before every game. I walked the quad for 6 years including grad school and I love all of lsu and very much in support of the Forever LSU campaign going on.

Don't let it, some of the biggest and best LSU fans I know didn't attend LSU.

Any who feel like the thread starter have self-esteem issues...no doubt. For you to say what you said tells me you are of good character- degrees don't getchu that.

I think he is saying that more than likely the fans who are booing and acting like asses are more likely to have never spent a day at LSU outside of gameday.

I agree based on my experiences. Some people go to tailgate and then watch football. Thats all they know and dont understand that its more than a football game, its LSU football.

There are people I know who claim to be Tiger fans and never even thought about going to college who are the most embarrassing people to represent LSU.

Hey now, some of us are smart when we're drunk and obnoxious.

Ok, how's this for class. I have NEVER left a game early. I have been an LSU fan my entire life. I donate each and every year to buy the tickets to the games. IMO it is the elitist pricks like yourself that believe only LSU alums should be able to attend games, that give our fanbase the biggest problems. Last I checked, I have the same rights to tickets as yourself. I apologize I did not want to leave my wife and child behind while I went to the school I really wanted to attend (LSU). I realize now the error on my ways and will immediately be giving up my tickets.

this thread isnt saying that non-alumni fans suck

it's saying that the majority of your piece of shite fans are not alumni of LSU

this is only partially true

most of the a-hole fans are either non-alumni OR current students

I always tell me coworkers who attended texas, north carolina and other schools who attended games with me that do not judge the book by its cover. Because most of the fan base never walked our campus other than 7 days out of the year.
