It looked consistent. Just didn't look like he was giving even an inch off the plate.

Do all these innings wear him out?

I know he pitches once a week. It's a long season. But he does save the bullpen and Sunday pitching.

It's not the innings; it's the pitch count. All three were in the 100-110 range which is what most college pitchers throw in 7 or 8 innings. He's good.

Based on his last three outings, this is really an understatement.

Nah, just rest him during the SEC tourney. Until then let him do his thing.

Yes, he is doing a fantastic job right now, but they may look at limiting his innings if possible, esp. if the Tigers are ahead by say six runs or more.

I doubt there are very many Division I starting pitchers doing much better than Nola has lately.

They aren't going to not pitch him in Hoover. He isn't going to throw complete games every week anyways. He's fine.

Why is 110 pitches every 7 days too much?

It's not. People just want something to talk about. He's fine. His main pitch is the heater anyway.

110 pitches in a complete game adds up to the same as 110 pitches in 7 innings. I doubt they let him go any more than that. Cotton was warmed up and would have come in if Nola had allowed a baserunner.

BTW, I really liked seeing him shake off that homer and come back to get the final outs.

Yeah, that was freaking awesome. Just when you think he might be getting tired he strikes out the next batter.

Yeah, I think he was like " whatever bitch, you got lucky with a good breeze out to left. I think I'll blow three fastballs past your buddy now to end this."
