No one needs to advise me that it's only one game against a Sun Belt team.

That's not the basis for the strong belief.

The basis:

1) A balanced group of players across the entire roster (which has been lacking for years)
2) The D is as salty as almost any ever with Aranda in year 4
3) Fifth Year Sr QB who has Moxy and the team believing in him. Plus, unlike last year when he was under center, he is back in the gun like he was for his former entire career.
4) The Brady effect is For Real For Real. There is no going back.
5) The schedule is perfect. 4 games, off week, 4 games, off week, 4 games.
6) The WRs, TEs and RBs are as good as almost any other teams in the country.
7) Special teams are excellent, and field position will be markedly better as a result...
8) It's how they won, not the final score. The most complete game by a Tiger team in memory.

Sure, injuries and other things are never to be taken lightly....

But, full steam in confidence is warranted.

A 10-win Sun Belt team that competed with Clemson early last year. This wasn't Northwestern State. People need to realize that recent LSU teams couldn't do what this team did on Saturday even against FCS teams.

Agreed. With this complete of a team with so much experienced leadership, they will make A LOT of noice in the postseason

Easy there big fella.

Nobody is saying not to be extremely excited about everything we saw with the LSU offense. Just make sure you are able to put it all in perspective.

It probably isn't realistic to expect 55 from LSU against Texas. If it happens, then I'll be losing my shite right along with you.

Be happy about the changes you saw. I think everybody is. Be happy that it was executed flawlessly. Be happy that it was DIFFERENT. Be happy that it was successful. Just understand that it was against GA Southern.

Same thing can be said about the defense. It was a dominant, clean, effort from them. Texas is going to bring forth a completely different skill set though.

Be happy, but also stay realistic.

Texas score is going to be 45 to 21 LSU. We will give up a couple of 4 th quarter scores when the game is out of reach.

I agree with your entire post except for one thing, Joe Burrow wasn't under center last year as much as you're letting on. We were in shotgun a lot

uh, they got outgained 595-140. That’s not competing, that’s getting thoroughly dominated.

You realize all this info is available on your internet machine.

Have an upvote. For some reason, I do not think we will lose in Austin.

I laughed too when he said Georgia Southern competed with Clemson.

that is what I took from this. If we had run this score up on GASo and ran the toss dive all night we would have people bitching about the same old shite... including me. We finally put a team on the field offensively that people believe they want to see and they were very pleased with what they saw.

Ok. It was mixed. His Dad lead me to that statement. The point is that his familiarity with under center was non existent until 2018, so he will now be fully in his element
