Yes, this is national headlines because it is the latest in a steady stream of idiotic situations that come from this teams coach. It is not if, but when is this going to catch up with LSU and there is no doubt LM is doing these things to draw attention to himself. He alone is keeping us down in the polls which can hurt us in the long run.

This decision has NO LOGIC except for people reaching to blame J Lee by saying he needs this to keep the pressure off!

KEEP THE PRESSURE OFF? fricking seriously are you wanting me to believe he hasn't play GREAT with the pressure of the world watching him this year in the MOST CRUCIAL situations thinkable! On the road, at FLorida, needing a score, no timeouts, etc...

Give me a break please, J Lee doesn't need that weak link starting for him to take any pressure off. He has lived under extreme pressure for 2 years waiting for his time to come.

bravo

So having a part time QB who can run for an 80 yd TD is not a good thing to have?

You think that will actually ever happen again?

I have seen DTs run 80 yards for a TD after picking up a fumble.. Does that mean that those guys are threats to score 80 yard TDs at any given time as well?

well done...

Here is a FACT

Jefferson has ONLY ran for 231 yards which includes 1 83 yard run. On 53 carries..

So 4 yards a carry including his one never again to happen 83 yard run.. Take out that fluke and you see the true JJ running the ball.. 52 carries for 148 yards a whopping 2.8 yards per carry.

Throwing the ball he has 2TDs and 7 Ints which is horribly ratio.

damn...i knew he wasnt a good runner but damn...2.8...

and people think he still needs to be in the game... :rotflmao:

JJ will get the majority of the snaps. Les will try his damndest to get JJ to 300 yards this game. Get his numbers up against a horrible opponent to try and justify starting him against Auburn.

Apparently you haven't met the JJ cheerleading squad.....

their top favorite reasons for JJ:

#1) Lee plays better from the bench

#2) JJ is a great runner

#3) He forces the defense to stay honest

#4) Lee turns the ball over...lulz

#5)JJ's feelings might get hurt...double lulz

All Lee has done is win the game for the Tigers...TWICE.

All JJ has done is hamstring our offense and frustrate his teammates.

So far this season he has been more of a threat to throw a pick. When you have 5 completion versus UT and 2 of them were to the other team.. If Im on the opposing sideline I want you to pass as many times as you want I dont feel like its a real threat.

That pass, in the SECOND QUARTER OF THE SEASON OPENER, was JJ's last touchdown. Pretty sure that would mean he's NOT a threat to pass.

Here is Florida

Lee 83 yards on 18 carries = 4.72 y/c

JJ 72 yards on 28 carries = 2.57 y/c

When Lee was in the game there were 4 plays with 0 or neg yards (5 carries over 5 yards)

When JJ was in the game there were 8 plays with 0 or negative yards (5 carries over 5 yards)

Looks like the running game was better with Lee in to me?

wow....well there goes one of JJ's cheerleaders arguments.....

its been a productive day...

um when they put 8-9 guys on the line of scrimmage no, your not a threat....they are daring you to throw...The opposition wants JJ to throw the ball...

Its amazing the SPIN used to justify keeping Jefferson in the game. We're winning because we put Lee in. So now that we're winning because we put Lee in we have to leave Jefferson in(and start) because we're winning!!!!!

12% of JJ's completions have gone to the OTHER team.

Is it really a threat when the other teams QB will throw the ball to you 1 in every 10 passes?

JJ apologists.

Im wondering if Miles is one too.

I really dont get it. he cant run. He cant pass. He makes mistakes regularly that hurt the team, but he STILL starts the majority of our drives.

Then theres Lee, whos been asked to bail us out TWICE now, and has done so playing damn near flawless football with only a fraction of the work under his belt the last year.

The incomprehensable Miles.

Im afraid playing JJ this much will keep the game too close and we'll have to continue to scratch out wins in the 4th quarter when we should be blowing teams out.

One of these days, Miles is going to ask Lee to bail him out again, and Lee is going to make a mistake. its not fair to lee if we continue to put him in that position.

I hope Lees PT increases dramatically.

If that happens Miles will perma bench Lee...and we'll lose way more games

His clutch performances have been borderline epic, which is even more impressive when you consider his lack of playing time.

You have to wonder how long he can keep it up. The guy deserves to be on the field more to win the game earlier so he can take a knee the final two minutes.
