Yea, he did that a lot today. We had to wait to hear whether it was in or out of play.

Seems alot of perfectionists do.
Also we have alot of Internet PBP announcers.

Jim has loyally announced games for LSU for so many years that he is appreciated by the limes of LSU and me.

yall are a bunch of whining bitches

I personally love JH. HE brings a level of excitement like nobody else could while calling the games whether is be football, basketball, or baseball. He is one in a million and no error or mistake he makes could change that. He's an old fart, give him a break He's put his heart and soul into the tigers longer than some of us have been alive, I'm pretty sure I'd get pissy also when a play doesnt go our way. The ONLY thing I've ever been annoyed with by BOTH JH and hanigriff(sp?) is the score updates. If you don't like him then hell, dont listen..

ive been seeing it but it seemed too stupid to look more into it.

i listen to him everytime he's on. even when the games are on tv. i don't have a problem with it, not one bit.

I've always like JH, though he's definitely mistake prone. There will never be another announcer like John Ferguson in football, though.

John Ferguson and Walter Hill set the standard in Tiger football.

frick all of this "he put his heart and soul into LSU" crap.

I put my heart and soul and LOTS of money into LSU, but that doesn't mean I'd be a good PBP guy.

He USED to be good. He's trailed off these last few years. No, he SUCKS these last years.

A football game call..."here's the snap....annnddddddd....(silence)....he's tackled". WTF ?????

this absolutely aggravates the frick out of me. most announcers would say that one is fouled off or popped out of play or just something indicating its foul. but with him its just that one is popped up and im like awwwh shite thinking the SS or P or someone is about to make a catch then 10 seconds later "but its gonna go out of play".

i have always like Hawthorne and still do but he is starting to make mistakes that are really starting to affect the listening experience. and when its your only means of getting the game im not going to just turn it off. I am an LSU fan regardless of the bad announcing.

That's a stupid argument, we love LSU baseball, we are going to listen. We just wish we had a better option for who we have to listen to.
