FSU only beat us by 1 and had played a game already while we were breaking in a new QB in a new offense with new coaches in our 1st game. Yes, the rest of the season matters, but so do those factors.

LSU just soundly beat MSU two weekends ago and really dominated them as the game went on. I think State is a pretty good team, but I don't think anything that has happened since that game shows that MSU is a better team than LSU at this point considering the outcome of the game.

Arkansas has some good talent, but is a seriously mistake-prone team who was losing all the way until the 4th quarter to FCS team Missouri State, the next week they lost to a very mediocre a&m team (though they seemed to outplay a&m) and then they looked atrocious yesterday against Bama playing at Arkansas until Bryce Young went out. They made a nice comeback after it was 28-0, but then ended up getting blown out anyway with Bama's backup QB playing. Arkansas has the 124th pass defense in the nation and the 70th rush D. It's hard to beat teams in the SEC with those numbers. I just don't see how either would be seen as better than LSU at this point in the season when LSU has a stingy D, is 2-0 in the SEC and beat one of them by 2 TDs.

Your reasoning is so bad. The Fla state argument is fine until one of us didn’t have the same record. That will take care of itself. Us and Miss State have the same record right now, case in point as to why we should be ahead of them after just beating them.

I'm not so much on wanting to see us in rankings, before we prove we should be there. Lets beat #8, #9, #1 so we know we belong there.
