They have to get through the NIT and the women's basketball tourney first.

I would prefer more college baseball, but the only explanation is ratings. If it would make them money, ESPN would broadcast it.

I don't believe baseball is growing professionally. Maybe I am wrong? As far as college baseball it seems to be a local/regional thing. I am not sure how much national appeal it has. Why don't you link some stuff backing up the statement that baseball is growing professionally and in college.

It doesn't get the love because its a thinking mans sport and takes talent to play the sport(except during the juiced bats period). Most kids played football because they couldn't play baseball, so as adults they watch the game they played as kids. Plus they sell beer at football games. Not much strategy in football either. Plus baseball does move at a slower pace.

Beer is one of the biggest parts about baseball.
No one wants to watch low level play of a slow sport.
People can watch basketball played at college because its faster paced and players will be on the floor next year at highest level.
Baseball even the best is getting stored awAy in the minors for a bit.

And your thinking game comment is the same as women's n all fans (which is more popular than college baseball) claiming fundamentals. It's a reach for a sport played at a low level

even 10 years ago I wouldn't believe you if you said it would be on THE ESPN

it's probably doing good in a good demographic, that's why more games are on

move the season back a month and college baseball will be even bigger... the B1G will be more into it, etc.

The SEC, Pac-12, and ACC will ALWAYS dominate the sport. The rest will be a distant 4th

I really think the BR regional was put on ESPN3 was so ESPN could boost their numbers for online viewership and charge more for advertising online.

It really was. I didn't get to watch it until Monday night, but damn it was awesome

yeah next year for the regional they might add ESPN2 to do some games instead of just ESPNU, but the bases loaded coverage was great.

As LSU's regional was not televised for the first time in 10 years a lot of people were upset and I understand their pain.

i watched the game on my TV on vacation because of the above device, i felt no pain, because i'm willing to evolve

being unwilling to change with the times can leave you behind, not asking you to perform magic

my dad is basically 60 and new exactly what i was doing and how to do it, so what the hell does that say about you podnuh

Big 12 begs to differ.

As for coverage of the sport, it's VERY tough to get advertising to cover costs. I know first hand.

Also, Kendall does a good job of covering the sport because he know has money behind him, but he started as an independent guy, too. Some of the independent sites do a really good job with it. Some don't.
