If a business is failing because management isn’t holding employees accountable and the business goes under who do you blame the employees or the leadership?

It’s only going to get worse in college sports since the schools are selling their souls to 18 - 22 year olds who have no business being in a college to begin with.
Stop the student athlete charade and let these unqualified students go to a pro minor league.
I am not saying mcglothern or others are all in this boat, but this trend is continuing to get worse.

There have been rumors about multiple DB academics casualties. But i never heard anything about Dwight maybe having to leave. That would suck hard.

This has been the case for a long time not just because NIL is a thing.
There are a lot of football players at LSU and most colleges that would not be at those schools if it wasn’t for the lowered acceptance requirements for scholarship athletes.

Is Sage and Maason playing?

I agree a great head coach doesn’t let this happen. Just pointing out that it is not solely on O. A lot of other people deserve some blame for this, including Woodward. All of those people in the AD should have had a better pulse on this situation, especially once it was announced that O wouldn’t be coming back.

Well leadership didn’t get rid of the kids, didn’t help them get eligible (which every other school seems to do), and the leadership are the ones who brought those kids on campus.
Either way you spin it, it’s a failure on leadership. Especially when you make 9 million a year. No logical person would blame a businesses (college football is a business) on employees when leadership is making millions while employees aren’t doing their jobs. Do something about it.

This was the problem with a lame duck coaching staff. Never should have happened the way it did

How could Tre Bradford not be on the chart? Dude transferred, waited the whole year to be cleared for some inexplicable reason, finally played in the last game of the season, and now he is ineligible again??

My guess is that once these issues were revealed, it was too late to really do something about it.

Do everything possible to sort McGlothern out for next season. He’s a great player.

There has been a lot of chatter on campus with students who know Dwight that he might be in trouble for weed. Heard about it way back at the Lipscomb basketball game. Me and my friends sort of blew it off at the time. If this is true I'm going to lose my shite. The compliance department is a malignant cancer and something has to be done.

This depth chart also underscores what unmitigated pussies A&M were for skipping their bowl game. What a joke of a program. Running scared from Wake Forest.

This policy needs to be addressed immediately by the Pres and SW. Half the student body and half the faculty smoke weed. I’d rather them be doing this than going around binge drinking or doing hard drugs

Have you seen the facilities and extra help available for the athletes at LSU? Sure the leadership deserves some blame for not monitoring, but those kids have to try to fail with all the advantages they are given.
O was fired halfway through the season, if those kids gave up and quit going to class and screwed their eligibility then lets go to the portal and find some people that want to play and can manage to put forth the effort to get a degree in physical education.

When the kids don’t make the grades it’s someone else’s fault. When they don’t make the catch it’s someone else’s fault. When they don’t make the tackle it’s someone’s else’s fault. When they get caught on the weed it’s someone else’s fault. This is rant logic.

When LSU is the only conference school that ROUTINELY has these issues, it’s an LSU problem. Stop being obtuse.
