I would guess that once it was announced O was leaving many stopped giving a damn about meeting the minimal academic requirements necessary to be eligible for a bowl game…and the lame duck staff stopped caring as well. There are always some who are ineligible for the bowl games (even the playoffs). It just many more this season.

The season already ended 5 weeks ago for all intents and purposes. The guys still eligible will play hard. But don’t get emotionally invested in expecting a win.

Sure when it’s a handful. When the entire team isn’t going to class it’s a culture and expectation issue.

Rotten.

At most of these universities when kids start struggling they get 1 on 1 time with tutors up to 3 hours a day to ensure they remain eligible. No way they were getting the attention they need. Some kids get on campus without knowing how to complete compound sentences much less college level material. This many is a failure on our support team.

Yeah Kelly might want to look at bringing some academic center folks over from ND. That's a shite show

If they aren't locked in let them go. It is what it is. All these transfers and opt out players or players that that just quit on their teams forget about the interview process of the draft and will have answer questions about letting your team down.

Dude public schools suck, lots of these kids don’t come from great back grounds… if kids were just thrown into college classes without support half of college football players would be ineligible.

Lsu is getting the undisciplined, dumb kids. All colleges have plans in place to ensure student athletes get the proper support to remain eligible. Our leadership has failed. Period.

I noticed this multiple times this season.. Why Jack Bech keep "starting" at TE? If we start on offense with a 3 WR formation, he will be out wide.

While this is true, if LSU isn’t recruiting capable students, it’s on the coach.

He is but he’s in covid protocol and it’s going to be borderline if he’s out by Tuesday

While I agree, I think multiple coaches got lazy. Raymond let the depth at corner go to absolute shite. He also needs to be held accountable here.

A couple instances, sure

But LSU has a long, storied history of this shite. Whether it’s academic, drug related, or an NCAA matter.

LSU isn’t recruiting different kids than Alabama or Texas AM or anyone else. Admin needs to figure it out. Keep your damn players on the field. Period.
