Knock on wood, no suspensions, flunking out, or transfers for basically all of 2018 so far. A couple left in January.

When is the last time that's happened for LSU?

You forget what happened the week of the first game last year? Don't speak too soon.

I think summer grades will be out today, summer grad is tomorrow.

If there are any academic ineligible that may come out soon, if any. Probably always a handful that need decent summers in classroom to stay in good standing.

There seems to always be a few guys who aren't available for the opener and everyone only finds out about it once the game starts or very shortly before. IIRC, not many were aware Williams was going to be starting in place of Fulton until close to or right at game time last year. So I wouldn't count those chickens right now. There may be some "silent" suspensions yet to be announced.

Though maybe not attrition in the manner in which you are talking about, but O stating yesterday that Fehoko moving to NT makes you think Alexander isn't going to be ready for at least the opener, if not longer.

Yep, Jinxed indeed. Hell, the Bogies fight didn't happen until mid-August.

Yes I've noticed too, but dammit we still have another month! Knock on wood.

Nothing like Savion, Willie Allen of last year. Or the Trey Quinn, Diarse transfers the year before.

A QB will leave. Maybe a kicker. Probably someone will fall short on grades. It’s been a long time since we played a game so I’m sure someone got in trouble since then and will be suspended for something we don’t know about yet. It always happens.

We'll see if there is a Teuhema last minute surprise or a Frank Herron 6 game suspension. Either would suck royally.

But if not, it's been a nice turnaround from the fiascos of the last five years or so.

I love it. We're approaching the season with nearly all hands on deck. No excuses.

premature

Be prepared. When you start hearing reports of a player you didn't expect stepping up, that's often a sign that some other player is either going to be suspended or is injured.

We've started hearing rumblings of Glen Logan. That makes me worried about Ed Alexander.

So far, so good. But, honestly, this is just the beginning of the stretch where we get bad news.

Not really. Had tons of bad news during the offseason as far back as I can remember.
