If they make it past San Fran, could be a decent LSU crowd in Dallas. (assuming SMU advances).
Hell, if it's on Saturday, I might drive up.

Have y'all been watching this team ? Do y'all realize they are not gonna beat San Francisco ? They don't have the discipline or leadership to do it. Sorry !!!!

We are going to blow out San Fran. Then we'll get blown out by SMU.

Look, I have to admit that I felt they didn't even deserve a bid. I'm actually shocked they got in. But in a tournament, a team can get hot & string a few together, even LSU. The regular season is over. Everybody starts out 0-0. FRICK it! They're in & they have a shot. That's all you can ask for.

Looks like San Francisco had 2500 people for their last home game, and they drew 4000 for Gonzaga. LSU won at UC-Irvine in a small gym last season, and Stringer, O'Bryant, and Coleman all played a lot of minutes in that game. Though the atmosphere Wednesday will be more raucous than Irvine in December.
Excited about the game. Once the tournament looked out of reach earlier this season, I was hoping to see an NIT game in the PMAC, but this will have to do.

LSU/SMU will be more entertaining than most 1st round NCAA Tournament games.

When would this game be? All the brackets just say March 20-24.

I thought the Rant decided we weren't getting a bid?

This is what I love about the Rant.
Everyone is always so optimistic, and shite.

Except for the people in the first 6 pages of the thread crying about how we won't get in...now we play a good team in a traditionally good and competitive basketball conference and we are a no brainer to win
What makes teams like SMC and Gonzaga and San Fran good is that they draw a lot of international players to their programs...players with international experience..this is going to be a really tough game. I've watched them play a few times...the gym is small, but it'll have a great atmosphere.

Still possible, just have to beat San Fran and some how have Irvine upset SMU. 2nd round would be at LSU. Don't think that'll happen though
