Jones very obviously never had that ball. Not sure what he was saying but Nippolt has call off over Jones. But Nippolt couldn’t see it either other than the back of his hat.

I thought the ump got too close making the catch uncomfortable as well.

Nippolt Is in the game for one reason defense. Nippolt as the second baseman should have called of Jones and made the catch. Not even debatable!
