I don’t think Saban gives 2 shits about lsu or kiffin for that matter. He has a job that requires him to talk about college football. Right now we are a hot button in college football.

Saban wanted his job back, probably couldn’t come out of retirement because Terry didn’t want to leave the grandkids. But he sure wanted Kiffin to take the job. He knew the particulars on our NIL collective and that got his attention.

The whole situation with Les to Michigan happened the same time Nick was coming back to college. Which was January 2007.

Nick came back in January 2007.
announced morning of the Sugar Bowl between LSU and Notre Dame.

Les to Michigan happened in December of 2007.
His “Have a Great Day!” press conference was before the SEC Title game vs UGA.

If you listen to his interview about the loss of The Skipper, when referring to the facilities LSU has now, he says "we've" got great facilities now. If you don't think that LSU still occupies a big space in his heart, you are sadly mistaken!

Yeah, I agree with this. He comes along as a smug jerk at times, but i think he has high standards, a blunt personality, unmatched internal drive for perfection, and...... he coached the rednecks......

I always thought Saban had humor. Even when he was in a rant about something, you could sometimes see a smirk. Like, yeah, I am right, but, i can laugh about it also.

I always wanted him to grab that Coke on the podium and guzzle it.

He did try to. But LSU couldn’t tell Les Miles to kick rocks so we ended up with the grass eater instead of a dynasty.

Skip could have but him and Saban didn't gee haw

Do you think he wishes he would have returned to LSU from the Dolphns?
