At the end of the second quarter, when the game was still in question, Les Miles went for the long drive with only 48 seconds to go and scored.
That is a lot more than we can say about our coach. After our quarterback had sustained two 75+ yard drives against Florida, something only Johnny Manziel had done, in the final minute, instead of going for the win, he 'played for overtime'. He took the ball out of Broadway's hands. What a disgrace. We could have won and you guys could have started to get ready for the Sugar Bowl.

Buddy, I'm sorry for you because you guys had it. And you're dead right. Your coach went conservative and lost just like ours did against Bama. That was heartbreaking. I hope y'all get another chance like that and capitalize. BTW, don't blame your coach too much. His heart was probably going 180 bpm!

Going conservative is not why LSU lost to bama.

Onside kick
Going for it on 4th down
Fake field goal (only bad call)

Yeah ok. So compare lsu's drive just before half last night to their second to last.possession in the bama game and pleare tell me how they didn't lose because of that. Let me remind you only needed a first down to win bama had no ttime outs. But miles pulled the reighns back on Mett and the offense. And last night, hell the same drive against bama showed he could get the job done and finish it.

sigh. We drove down the field and couldn't convert 1 more first down and that is conservative. Fake field goal, onside kick... and non of that matters to you... none of that happened in your mind??? You find conservatism in one three play series after driving the ball down the field and you blame it on going conservative???

This in nutshell is exactly why the world is so screwed up.

I won't rag on him that much or for too long. We still have a bowl game to make this year and more premium players like Broadway to recruit.

For the guy who doesn't care about our football program, that is fine, but the game was relevant for you guys because the Sugar Bowl in comparison to other big time bowls is about a 10+ million dollar difference and that would also be an in state game to go to. If we would have won the Tigers would probably be a lock to go there.

I hope this showing at Florida gets the attention of the decision makers in Baton Rouge and our schools can play much more regularly.

Johnny,

I found it strange that ULL's punter didn't]

a.) stand back a couple of yards to have more room.
b.) ESPECIALLY - PUNT THE BALL WITH ONE MOTION -not take a big step and then punt! He should have known UF was going to try and block it?
All he had to do was catch it and punt with ONE MOTION. Who cares if it only went 20 yards!
There were only 2 seconds left !!!!

I don't want to rain on your parade because I have many friends who are UL-L fans. But if you think Florida game planned or gave a shite about you guys you are sadly mistaken.

Florida treated this like an off week and I'm fairly certain they figured they could go through the motions and get an easy V.

Credit to you guys...ya'll came in fired up, had a great game plan, and deserve a lot of credit.

But the facts are these. It's very difficult playing high profile SEC games week in an week out and then get fired up for a mid-major team for homecoming week.

Good game...take the moral victory and move on.

So your guys went to the same stadium and could only get six points, while we went in there and put up twenty, also sacking the QB five times.
You try to discredit what we did by talking about how Florida was not ready and it was just some kind of luck. The fact is, more good players are being spread around and we are picking them up. This is the new reality for SEC teams playing Sunbelt teams. Already the physical size of the players is pretty much equal, but the SEC gets most of the really fast guys, but on the other hand, our quarterback could easily outrun yours and he throws just as well.

Metry,

He is a great punter and kicker. I have no idea why he did not use his head more on that play.
