So you are a self-proclaimed good friend with Brown & you & he have communicated a lot. You are thus telling us what Brown has told you. That does not make it a fact, & it also implies that Brown does not lie. Brown lied his arse off to the NCAA whether he hates them or not. More than a few posters here, people who know the dark side of Brown, have repeatedly called him one of the most vindictive people out there. Ask Smoke just what a good ol' guy Brown is.

I joined this site the day before Thanksgiving at the recommendation of a family member. I don’t know what TD bullshite you’re talking about. Unlike you, I don’t feel a need to name sources to gain some e-cred from people I don’t know. I know what the conversation with Dale Brown sounded like and that’s all you really need to know.

I've heard most of 'em, I did my time with Dale, he was the coach when I started watching in 1973 until he "retired".

Dale has done a lot of good for a lot of folks and more than I'll ever do in my lifetime.

His personality and manner always tended to grate at me even in the best of times and even when I hear him now the same stories or same type stories dressed up a bit differently come back and I remember how it was back when he was in the spotlight a lot.

I wanted him to be more a basketball coach and he always wanted to be much more, and he absolutely definitely had some BS with him. I guess it's a simple as that. I wished he would at least seem to be more obsessed with basketball and that just was not his top priority.

I hope he continues to do the good things for folks and I'm sure he has and will.

He walked out and went somewhere else

I've met Dale twice. Had me and my brother get on the team bus after a victory over Vandy in Nashville. We waited by the bus after the game to congratulate the team. Dale invited us back to the team hotel, but we had to be at work the next day. I can tell you if you're on Dale's team, he'll do anything for you. What he did at LSU won't soon be duplicated. That's a fact.

I never get tired of listening to Dale Brown. At 85 years old, Dale is still Dale.
