Now that the dust from the draft is pretty much settled, what are our choices? I know we have the kid from UCLA and the transfer from Vandy. Off of last years staff we have Floyd, Dutton, Money and Coleman (hurt last year). Are any of our new signees capable of starting? This was our biggest weakness last year.

Hurd
Little
Floyd
Taylor
Noot
Shores

Edit: Skenes still has his last visit at LSU.

It'll sort itself out after fall.

Coleman (injury), Money, and Dutton to me would be better bullpen pieces.

Why would Little be in line to start in front of Floyd?

I have a feeling Floyd makes a big jump. He improved drastically over the course of last season and we know his potential is off the charts

Also expect Taylor to make a big jump. He had freshman inconsistencies last year but if that settles down he could be dominant

Y’all sleeping on Grant Taylor. He and Floyd will get the first looks along with a few freshmen.

ETA: Obviously Hurd is coming to start but I’m not sold on him being put out there with that workload at the start of the season.

Because people only care about what's new.

If they cared about the team, they’d check out his summer outings.

It's about faith in the development of Floyd's secondary pitches.

Why would Floyd be in line of Little? Who do you have in your 3? Little didn't transfer from Vandy for the hell of it. Floyd is long relief and must develop secondary pitches. He looked much better down the stretch than he did in the conference starts.

He developed them pretty well at the end of the year, no reason to think that won’t continue, especially with Wes.

No it's not. It's about thinking you know more than you do.

You've seen Floyd fail. Little has worse K/9, BB/9, and HR/9 over the same amount of time in college and with a similar number of innings pitched. But since you didn't personally see it, it didn't happen.

I'm go with either, especially if Floyd can get down his other pitches, either way, our pitching staff should be very good next year.

Negative. Hopefully, we will know here soon. I think it is between us and Arkansas.

Not a clue but it be nice for Coleman to come back strong after his injury and develop under Wes.Also Taylor and Floyd should benefit a lot from Wes.I think we will have a good many arms which is a great problem to have.Looking forward to next season.Time to gear up for Football though now that the draft is behind us
