Great idea!!! Then we can chant overrated when we beat them, thus devaluing our own win. Yeah!

Holding up a newspaper while the opposing team is announced shows how uncreative and unoriginal a fan base can be.

Not that I'm a fan of Duke, but they even stopped doing this 10 years ago.

Think of something else.

we need to coordinate someone to go early tomorrow and take all the paper from in front the library. Then someone else take the papers from CEBA, then someone take the ones from Lockett, then someone else take the ones from Tureaud, etc. That should be at least 300 papers

why would a college campus have newspaper service on Saturday?

Maybe we could also rattle our keys, as if to say "Start the car, this game's already over!"

Newspapers, chanting "Overrated" Key jiggling?

Welcome to early 1990's basketball fandom.

Why don't you actually try digging up some dirt on Xavier players? Go to their message boards, get creative. Be original.

This is one of the best disses I have ever seen a fanbase give- LINK

That's knee-slapping funny right there. Maybe the stundents can yell "yo mamma" jokes.

Baby steps. LSU basketball is just getting into the groove of winning. The fans will get more original as the year goes on.

The Advocate is on average, about 10 full pages a section. There are 5 sections. 14000/50=280

A 10-page section in a newspaper = three sheets of paper. The wrap-around has Pages 1, 2, 9 and 10. The next sheet of paper has Pages 3, 4, 7 and 8.

Pages 5 and 6 are on either side of the third or inner sheet.

Whoever does this needs to factor that into their math and account for more papers or enough time to tear some of the sheets in half. And at most you can get five full sheets out of a 10-page section, because every page has a front and back.

If you're counting on getting 10 sheets out of a 10-page section, you'll be tearing some pages twice, and you'll end up with half-size pages.

You're going to need more papers and time to tear them, or both, if you want to put them on 14,000 seats. Go get one and take it apart and you'll see what I mean.

I'm just injecting some reality into the math so they don't end up getting a last-hour surprise.

i think this is a great idea... sucks for whoever has the clean it up b4 the game starts though..

I dont think we should put the on chairs... but rather run around b4 the game and hand them out... they might stop you if you are doing it b4 the game but if you make a last ditch run right b4 it starts they wont know what hit them..

plus if they start to say no you will have the entire stadium to get pissed and force them to do it.

I have been informed that the Sports Mkt department will be made aware of this in a litle while, all indications are they they are cool with it...
