I honestly don't get what you are mad about. So you are upset that we actually paid less than its worth to secure a contract with one of the best DC? Isn't that what smart negotiators do? So you would rather see Alleva overpaying every LSU staff so no one comes to take em over because of their garbage contract? What the heck?

Pretty sure he's implied he just wants to be an NFL coordinator. Aranda is 41 and is making 3x the salary he made at Wisconsin just 2 years ago. I feel pretty confident he's going to hang around for a little while.

If we have another season under CEO where our defense plays well enough to have won every game (except for one game we actually did win) yet we still lose 3+ games, I'd have to think Aranda is as likely or more so than anyone else to become the next head coach at LSU.
I have no sauces except for those I cook with, but I would have to speculate that Alleva planted this seed of thought in his head when he offered the eztension.
Edit: Just a heads up to anyone planning to get a new phone, the Samsung Galaxy 7'smartphone auto-correct feature is the worst I've seen in at least five years.
Go with a Motorola or an iPhone. The Galaxy 7 is a major step down from my earlier model Motorola phone that I got in 2014.
I've had to edit this post four times now because fricking Samsung has misspelled words I spelled correctly or added entirely new words that had no reason to be inserted. Seriously, frick Samsung.

Everyone knows Aranda could have taken the Texas DC gig if he wanted it. As much as I don't like the O process, I do like that Aranda has enough confidence in him to stay at LSU. It also just tells me it'll be Aranda's last stop before the NFL. Hopefully since he's so young and being paid so damn much already, we get him for 2-4 more seasons.
