I don’t think it’s an overreaction to believe anyone can find the bench if they aren’t producing, including Milam (and I think Milam is an excellent player).

Milam could be hitting under .100 and he wouldn't come out

I disagree with that

Sort of. Curiel sliding to CF wouldn’t be nearly the downgrade as whoever replaces Milam. Defense at the corner OF spots is much less important.

Eliminating Stanfield and adding someone like Pearson, Larson, or Frey would be a major defensive downgrade to the outfield.

You implied it, even though you clearly didn’t realize it.

Not really, I just think it's going to take more than a .250 average in limited at bats before Jay even considers benching Stanfield.

Sure, with Stanfield being the one who would lose ABs first if he struggles, which was my entire point in that old post you tried to gotcha me with.

The point of you post was that Stanfield was in danger of being benched. I don't believe that was ever true.

Again, corner spot defense does not matter a ton. Stanfield to Curiel in Center would be fine.

Hence the reason I said he needs to pick it up a bit. I didn’t call for him to be benched.

The point was we have talented players not getting ABs.

Have you seen Curiel in centerfield?

Jay has seen what Milam can do offensively and defensively. He's not coming out if he starts slumping.

I’ve seen him in left and he was a highly rated CF in high school. His defense is well above average.

Wrong. I gave my opinion that he needed to pick it up or he wouldn’t see ABs.

Sorry I don’t put “in my opinion” after every post so dunces can understand.

Stanfield has already been benched once for having a shitty day at the plate. It’s not out of the realm of possibility that he would have been benched had he not picked it up. Braswell was one of our top hitters last year and was benched which favors what RB has been saying.

One of our top transfers last year got benched multiple times bc he was a crappy hitter.

There isn’t much of a drop off in defense when it comes to the outfield. Not enough to justify a crappy hitter. If CJJ valued defense that much then Kling would probably still be our CF

RB is getting the best of you here

Again, I disagree. I do believe it would take an ice cold stretch, along the lines of 0 for 15 or worse, before he even thought about it though.

Again, the list of players I believe were truly irreplaceable is very short.

That’s not the point. We know Tennessee is one of the best teams. It’s the fact that D1 shafted LSU(which is just as good of a team as Tennessee)and dropped them 6 spots for barely losing a series top a top 5 Texas team on the road while Tennessee gets minimally punished at all for not only losing, but getting blown out and run ruled at home to one of the worst teams record wise in the league.

You can’t deny that’s bull crap. I know polls mean nothing right now but my gosh at least try to hide the bias. If LSU would’ve lost the same series to A&M like that then LSU would be lucky to still be in the top 15.

I’m not sure why the discussion has even been going this long as Stanfield has been one of our better hitters in conference play lol

How is Tennessee still top 5 after getting assblasted by A&M all weekend?

No shite.

How far did we fall after losing 2/3 on the road to a top 10 Texas? A&M is still unranked at 16-15.

He was struggling a bit the first 8 SEC games. Nothing terrible, just a bit pedestrian. Since I said I thought he needed to pick it up a bit he’s been on fire though.

It’s not great. 2 for 11 this past weekend, and the weekend before, weren’t great either.

He definitely needs to pick it up.

Braswell does not provide nearly as much defensive value as Stanfield does.

Who Bingham?

When RB was mentioning Stanfield possibly getting benched, he was hitting 60+ points higher in SEC play than Kling did last year What is you reasoning as to why Braswell hasn't been playing over Milam?

You really are the opposite of intelligent and that’s putting it nicely. Carry on your argument with RB bc I don’t feel like entertaining you today.
