Trust me, I wasn't trying to knock on any of the current or past band members. I think you do a great job. Like the guy was saying before, we have to pay so much money just to attend the football games it's hard to pony up more for the band. They should be helped out more through TAF or someone that makes money off of all the bowl games and the championships.
The reason I and a lot of people I've talked to blame Moorehouse is that she is the face of the band. No one knows what goes behind closed doors with the administration. LSU has been having those cheers for years and others on here will admit that the student section was just as bad if not worse in past decades. I didn't even know that the actual cheer was "L-S-U" and not "kick their arse" until a couple years ago. Check out the thread about the Wisconsin students and search youtube for Duke student sections' cheers. Then the LSU bookstore is allowed to make obscene references when we play USC on t-shirts, but it's a capital crime when the student section makes up a cheer.
We're also very disappointed with the music selection for the halftime shows. I think you even did the same Journey song a couple times last year? Either way, I know you put a lot of hard work into what you do and you're very proud of it, but some of us are less than satisfied with what we see and hear as fans.

You wish we did the same Journey song last year...
We did the Journey show only once, it was the "latin flair" show that we ran into the ground.

Must have been that.

Is this the same building by the health center that they have been working on for the past 5 years? Geez they are never going to finish that thing. Pretty pathetic.

'm certain Assistant Band Director Roy King also knows the drill backwards and forwards
This I can agree with. I'm not here to say that the band would not suffer in intensity and quality without Linda Moorhouse but I was in the band in '98 when she was finishing her doctorate up north. Roy took over all on field drill management and that was a very good year for us IMHO. Also up until 2001 when I was in band the most Wickes ever did was run the music rehearsal part of the practice. Roy or Linda ran the drill rehearsal. Also, everyone in the band likes Roy I'm pretty sure he had a much easier job getting people to do the correct things than Linda did. Although she was also pretty effective.

That is the Music and Dramatic Arts Building. The Band department is technically not part of the school of music.

Wrote a check at the band reunion last year, and will do so again. Hell, writing a check to TAF did not get me anywhere with upgrades, maybe this money will be better spent.
TB82, what year did you start (is 82 the beginning or the end)? We might have some overlap...

I believe ya'll played it 4-5 times last year, including the SEC Championship. We got pwned in the band Department in Atlanta. Tennessee had a pretty cool routine, but you guys are still great. I was just praying at every halftime we didn't have to hear 'Let's Get Loud' by Christina something.
