And still a bad coach, with an inexcusable loss to Troy and our worst ever loss to Miss St. But hey, LSU is second chance U now apparently. We need to support our coach.

It seemed like over the past 3 seasons, starting with the 2014 recruiting class, that there was an entitlement culture. Some players, not all, assumed that they could show up and win starting spots without the work. Even our best players would have nfl caliber sophmore seasons and then just coast their junior year, skip spring, bowls games etc... some players leaving early that had no business doing so... just seemed like “all about me”... again not everyone, but some crucial players. Sadly it appeared like we would get physically dominated at times by lesser talent i.e. troy d-line vs our o-line.

Who are you basing the 'show up and win a spot' thing on? Diarse left after he graduated, Quinn left after two years. Outside of 2015 Johnson, most of our recruits were here at least two years. After two years of barely seeing the field, anybody should weigh their options.

The only guys that had dynamic sophomore seasons and less than stellar junior season were Fournette and Key. Fournette was injured yet played in every game that mattered. Averaged 6.5 ypc and had over 800 yards and 8 TDs in less than 7 games of play. Sitting out a meaningless bowl because you don't want to reinjure yourself right before the biggest interview/event of your entire life, is easily forgivable. Key, IDK what was going on with him, but one guy does not equal a culture problem.

Guys were leaving early, one because the opportunity of providing for their family, and were just not school guys. Two, because a lot of them were mid round or higher draft pick worthy, and considering people go to college to prepare for a career, what's the big deal. Three, no incentive to stay one more year for another year of wear and tear (the CTE and guys retiring early stuff is out there everywhere), and half arse coaching (we aren't winning like Bama or Ohio St).

Getting dominated had more to do with effort and we lost like 5-6 OL after Miles was fired.

Now that the bulk of the 2014 class has moved on, we hear players talk about how much work they’ve been putting in. The “want” to win is filtering back in slowly. Summer workouts being tough, moffit saying that we’re having the highest team conditioning pass rates of his career. Tons of videos coming out players maxing out, taking pride in their accomplishments. (I know those vids come out every year but it seems like a ton are coming out now)

Outside of Moffitt saying what he said, this is pretty much just modern age at work. Guys now post their maxes on social media more (younger generation), and media people looking for any bit of "news", post it so you see it more than usual. All the rest of the stuff is always being said, you are just now actively looking for, or looking at it.

Team laid down the early part of last year. You don't call team meetings if people are doing what they're supposed to do.

Early exits, are still happening. Many last year just like years prior.

Honestly I think you're reaching. Let's see if they fight all year this year. Let's see it guys that are marginal draft picks come back for senior or redshirt junior years.

You seem to get triggered easily. Maybe you should seek a psychological evaluation. It might help with your instability issues in your life. I have a few colleagues who could help if you'd like.

I wonder if O learned his lesson about “going easy” during practice. I think he continued going easy during the 2017 offseason which clearly ended up being a mistake. Now it’s: hard as hell offseason, lite practice during regular season.

I think the "taking it easy" concept has been misconstrued. There has always been a push to grind during the offseason and in the fall. The issue is overstressing the players during game weeks to a point they are fatigued on gameday. There's a balance between building a player up to be able to perform at a high level throughout games and body fatigue. You don't go to the gym and work the same muscle group 5 days a week. Good coaches understand the balance. Hopefully O and staff do as well. I would imagine Aranda puts as much if not more of an emphasis on the mental aspects of the game vs physical.

When did this ever happen under Les?

What year did it not happen ? I wonder how many of PoorOleLess' players left early after being told by scouts they should not risk injury in their senior year seeing as how the coaching up would be next to nothing.

Are we? We were 9-3 in 2015 8-4 last year and 9-4 this year.

An 8-5 the year before that. We've actually only had two seasons in the last 10 where we lost less than 3 games...10 and 11.

What makes you assume that I have these? I’m not easily offended by people who think that O did not deserve the LSU job. Y’all about being triggered.

I don’t eat fast food too much, but I will keep them and you in mind next time I’m thinking about ordering some. Thanks for the offer.

Don't waste your time with Mo. He's literally too stupid to argue with. He can't get Miles nuts out of his mouth long enough to make a coherent point anyway. Just enjoys whining like a little bitch about the days of yore.

One of the best offseason jobs seemed like when Les ran them to death in 2011 to get ready for Oregon. We really wore out a lot of teams that year.

This was absolutely true. Les felt if the team could out play Oregon, they could outplay everybody else on the schedule. It worked.
Even Chip Kelly said LSU was the biggest, fastest college team he had ever seen.
Hopefuuly, we get back to that...in a hurry.

There was this catastrophe syndrome and it seemed that after the Bama loss most players just gave up on the entire season. I see this same thing beginning to change. It's not about the record, the last game (win or lose) it's about the current game.

Rantard myth (lie).

Record after Alabama:

2012: 3-0
2013: 2-0
2014: 1-1
2015: 1-2

The “catastrophe” happened in 2015 (against a top 10 OM team and 8-5/5-3 Arkansas team that both had top 25 run defenses, Ark was #12).

Idiot rantards that bought that narrative were the ones that created the “catastrophe syndrome”, not the team. And that is what gave Alleva the rope he had been waiting for to hang Miles.
