If we beat Bama we move to around the 10 spot and Bama drops 3 spots at most. If we both win out from that point they will still probably be ranked higher than us. In the rankings eyes, 1 loss Bama > 2 loss LSU.

The validity of the eye test was proven in 09. Going to hard to get past that!

If we win out and they only lose one we will never be ranked above them.

They are not going to rank a two loss LSU team over a one loss Bama. Then to make matters worse we would not have gotten to play an extra game so we would still have the same number of wins with an SECCG win. Eventhough it would have just been one less cupcake team it won't matter to poll voters.

I have a hard time believing the commitee has the strength to put LSU in the playoffs as the only SEC team even if they did win out and win the conference. Alabama and Auburn are going to both need two losses and you still will need another two loss champion from the power 5 conferences.

Even if we beat them 100-0 we would never jump over them from number 19 rank.

We won't jump Bama immediately, but will climb to #11 or #12. If we follow that with a victory over Florida, then I think you will see us jump another 4 or 5 spots to #6 or #7. The polls will work themselves out if we win out, particularly if we are hanging the number of points on our opponents that we have the last few games.

Its threads like this that make me hate this site. Stupid hypotheticals like this, and What uniforms are we going to wear? I like this cool concept helmet. No the white pants with the white jersey, blah, blah, blah . . . .

How about we just play each game as it comes? We are still trying to figure out what kind of team we are under our new coach. Everything is a work in progress. Bama is far away the most consistent team in college football. We are trying to figure it all out right now. SLOW YOUR ROLL.

I don't understand why people keep saying this. If we win out including the SEC CG and Bama wins out except for LSU, we'd be 10-2 and Bama would be 11-1. We lost that extra win because of UF.
