NEVER forget... last year Auburn claimed 7 National Titles

ALL TIME RETRO CHAMPS!
1910, 1913, 1914, 1958, 1983, 1993, 2004
Going from 2 total to 9 total in one... chooooo.
A quick AI search yielded this:
Current SEC Program/ Currently Claimed Titles/ Unclaimed NCAA Titles/ New Total Under Auburn Rule
Alabama 18 4 (1945, 1966, 1975, 1977) 22
Oklahoma 7 11 (1915, 1949, 1953, 1957, etc.) 18
Tennessee 6 7 (1914, 1931, 1939, 1956, etc.) 13
Texas 4 7 (1914, 1941, 1968, 1977, etc.) 11
Georgia 4 5 (1927, 1946, 1968, 1978, etc.) 9
LSU 4 5 (1908, 1935, 1936, 1962, 2011) 9
Auburn 9 0 (Already claimed all 9) 9
Texas A&M 3 4 (1920, 1921, 1925, 1941) 7
Ole Miss 3 3 (1959, 1960, 1962) 6
Vanderbilt 0 6 (1906, 1910, 1911, 1912, 1921, 1922) 6
Arkansas 1 1 (1977) 2
Missouri 0 2 (1960, 2007) 2
Florida 3 0 (No other recognized selectors) 3
Kentucky 1 0 (No other recognized selectors) 1
Mississippi State 0 1 (1940) 1
South Carolina 0 0 (No major selector listings)
Significant Structural Shifts
• The Biggest Winners: Oklahoma (+11) and Tennessee (+7) would experience the most massive historical boosts.
• The Vanderbilt Awakening: Vanderbilt is the sleeping giant of the pre-poll era. Thanks to legendary coach Dan McGugin, they have 6 undefeated or dominant seasons recognized by major math formula selectors. They would leapfrog multiple traditional powers like Florida and Arkansas.
• The "Zero" Club Shrinks: Only South Carolina would remain completely empty-handed. Missouri, Mississippi State, and Vanderbilt would all formally introduce a football national championship trophy to their history books.

Does Auburn's total include the title awarded by Billy Bob's Titty Bar and Bait Shop?

I really hope Verge makes a push and claims 1908. We should also acknowledge our 4 conference titles won prior to joining the SEC. Just makes sense and practical unlike whatever the hell Auburn is pulling

WGAF?!?lets just win tomorrow.

The most shocking thing from your post is discovering that Alabama still has 4 titles that even they find suspect enough not to claim.

LOL at 1958. Yeah, Aub, that one’s already taken.

Not as pathetic as claiming the one in 1993. The year they were on probation and had a postseason ban.

Claiming national titles from 100 years ago baffles me. These people claiming it, didn’t even witness it lol

quote:im confused, the 3 titles they claim are 59, 60, and 62. Is this saying there are 3 other “unclaimed” titles they supposedly could have or is my comprehension off?
Ole Miss 3 3 (1959, 1960, 1962) 6

AI screwed up on that one apparently.
They do claim 59, 60 and 62, but only one is NCAA recognized.
