That JL is a LSU player.
PM best qb to play.

PM did what JL did alot of.
It happens.
thats all.

So...he was either making an obvious point that all QB's throw picks, which we all understand, or he was trying to smooth over the massive amount of pick 6's by comparining a HOFer's pick 6 in a SB to that of Lee's.

So your saying all QB throws picks time to time? WOW really? Try to look at the entire body of work, Jared Lee sucks and doesnt belong in the same sentence as Manning. Hell i missed half my BBall shots but hell i seen Jordan miss a shot or two so im not that bad??? WTF idiots

Thanks TigrLee for the support. At least SOMEONE gets it!

I wasn't comparing J Lee to Manning. Nor was I comparing Payton to Les. I was simply pointing out that shite happens to even the best of players and coaches as part of the game.

Did JL deserve the criticism for his throwing all those pick 6's? To a certain degree, yes. I say to a certain degree because there's a lot that goes into it other than him just throwing a bad pass. In all likelihood that would not happen again. Maybe the kid really is a lousy qb. If so, then Les is not playing him unless he has to. But then again, Les is such a dumbass and so loyal to those that fail that it boggles the mind to understand why he isn't.

Did Les deserve the criticism for his screwup of time management at the end of the Ole Miss game? Absolutely and he took responsibility for it like the man he is. But many on here seem to forget in their criticism of him that in regards to other time management faux pas' that he's not the one on the field letting the clock run down for 15 seconds before taking the snap.

In one of LSU's greatest plays in history, a 5th yr. senior who led us to an NC allowed 20 seconds to run off the clock before taking the snap and completing a game winning pass for a td with 3 seconds left on the clock-Matt Flynn and Auburn, '07. What would the reaction of fans have been had the pass not been complete and we lost the game? Les is fricking idiot for calling the play and MF is a dumb MF'er for letting the clock run down so long and not giving us time to kick a fg. But it worked and we won.

Anybody on here who is critical of Les and thinks there would not have been a complete and utter savaging of Payton had the onsides kick not worked or the failure of the d to stop the Colts and get the ball back after failing to score from the one and blowing the biggest game in Saints history is as delusional as the Bammers! Or maybe they would have just been so happy to have simply gotten to the big game after all these years that they would have been "satisfied with mediocrity" had the Saints lost.

If you want an instance of a HOF qb making more than one frickup to cost his team, how about Brett Favre throwing all those int's to end drives that would have won games for his team? That's a well documented series of events nd nobody will argue that BF is a great qb.

The whole point of my post was, shite happens, even to the best. It's part of life as well as football. And aside from that, if it hasn't already, it's gonna happen to you at some point in your life as well. And when it does, how are you, and the people around you, going to react?

Blaming JLee and continuing to boo him, while we "settle" for the 112th ranked offense, is simply mind boggling for me.

Jarrett Lee was terrible in his start this year against inferior competition.

This, in a nutshell, is not a 'threadworthy' topic, hence you are getting skewered. Stating the obvious and trying to gloss over one of the most fricked up seasons in LSU history for a QB is not going to earn you any brownie points around here.

He's responsible for teaching them NOT to do it though, and the appearance of his coaching style is that when these things start to add up, season after season, people realistically start looking at the source.

Matt Flynn would have deserved, and gotten, most of the flack for that decision. It was obvious that he was letting too much time run off, but Les, in his infinite wisdom and being master of the time out frick ups, failed to call timeout even when he saw that Flynn was wasting the clock. Again, Les's track record for screwing up the time management rears it's ugly head again. It's a pattern.

He wins more than he loses, so it doesn't matter. Les's problem is lately he is losing more SEC games than he's winning, he's not going to get cut any slack on here for that.

Again, this topic is not postworthy, and if you think that posting on here that it's ok, everybody fricks up, is all of sudden going to make any one feel any better by stating the obvious, then you haven't been around the Rant very long.

It is OK for now because regardless of the pain you feel LM is there for at least 2 more years. This time management problem has been ranted about until nauseum. So relax and look at all the positives that have also been pointed out at length. You also stated this was one of the worst years for QB play. Are you kidding? Jeff Wickersham and Jamie Howard ring a bell?
