Didn't JLee play an entire regular season game against a WAC team?
Didn't JLee sit an entire year before he was asked to beat a soon to be SEC coach?

No? I'm fairly certain we were told all during the offseason, all during fall camp, and all during the first half of the season that Lee had gotten better. That what he was missing was a chance to prove it. What we saw looked every bit like a complete rerun of 2008...
At least you didn't run out the excuse that he only had one week to work with the 1's...

The ridiculous posts bar keeps getting raised higher and higher each time I read a topic on this board.

Your post has some validity. a lot of these dbags that post here are simply pissed b/c there is a hint of critizism involved.
I understand what you meant with the jlee/Payton comparison as well as the potential coaching blunder part.
To say this post needs to be deleted is people showing their intolerance of anyone doing anything OTHER than blowin SP and the nola saints

the comparison is on PM's biggest moment he fricking choked and threw a pick 6.
Yes its noted he didnt do it 7 times in one year, but its also noted that PM is a lot better qb than JL.
It happens is the point.
No qb is exempt from it.
Coaches makes calls...if they work out in his favor then he is genius, if they dont he is an idiot.

d it happens to everybody
Worst bad sports analogy ever on this board.

did I not just fricking say that?
If JL started every game next season Id bet everything I own I would not happen again.

Which is a stupid fricking point. If you or the OP could please point to ANYONE that ever said that no other QB ever threw pick 6's, than this point would have merit.
Were people suggesting Lee was a horrible QB after throwing 1 pick 6 after having put together a previously stunning season? Or did the criticisms begin to mount as the pick 6's piled up?

I supposed you missed the part of PM being a lot better qb than JL.

No...I'm pretty sure everyone understands that.
Point is, the OP decided that a pick 6 from a future HOFer in the Super Bowl looked like a nice opportunity to beat the dead horse regarding Lee's pick 6's from 2008. It was a stupid comparison born out of the desire to win an argument on the internets...
Posted on 2/8/10 at 11:53 am to GeauxTigerTM
I just dont think thats what he was doing... at least thats not how I read it..

Me:
You:
OP...
You decide... Other than to try and smooth over Lee's dismal 2008 performance, I can;t think of any other reason to attempt to make this comparison. Can you?

In no way am I going to compare J Lee to Peyton Manning or LSU to the Colts but as proved last night, it happens to the best of them.
