I agree. The uncertainty that existed 1-2 months ago about the future of the program has been greatly lessened if not eliminated.
I think CBK can convince him of the great opportunity he will have moving forward with LSU.
I don't think Kelly is going to focus on 1-year guys. Suspect he is going to try to build around a younger core group, with a couple necessary vets, taking his lumps next year but making the overall program stronger. You've got 2 young QBs (if Howard comes), can try to build a team around them and make a run in a couple years... the often-mentioned "championship in 3rd year" plan. To do that, you can have some upperclassmen, but not the QB if he's the heart going foreward.
If Brennan stays, he's the starter here next year- and you start over with QB again the following. If he leaves, most likely it's Howard or Nussmeier, with a transfer as depth.
