Wright state leaving in the starter who has given up one hit, but he just walked the leadoff guy.

ETA: looks like he is being pulled. He had 113 pitches.

See if Vandy has another comeback in them. Down 5-1 in the 9th and lead off walk for Vandy to start inning with pitching change

their starter no hit Vandy on Friday thru 6 inn and they pulled him and ending up losing. They were gonna ride this guy all the way if he didn’t have that lead off walk in big spot

I believe Max Whitesell is their best arm in the pen, let's see if he shuts it down.

14 is a painful memory. If I remember correctly our pitching fell off a good bit after Nola, and it killed us in the regional final.

Did anyone ask him why he pitched him yesterday?

Would love to hear his response

“Uh it was only 5 runs”

This joker in the other thread just told me out dominant pitchers are done so that’s not going to make a difference this evening.

had the game won against Houston on Sunday but Paul wanted to give Kurt a homecoming send off and it burned us.

Correct. We lost in the semi final round in 92 and 95. Fullerton won both of those regionals.

It took until 1999, with the new Super Regional format, for a Skip Bertman team to watch another team dogpils. Skip had a ridiculous record when making the championship round of a regional or a CWS. It was like 15-0 or something like that.

Skip went 1-:2 in Super Regionals losing at Bama in 1999, beating UCLA at home in 2000, and losing to Tulane at Zephyr in 2001.

The old 6 team regionals were a blast.

Now the wright State coach doesn't want to pull his pitcher out. Pulled the last one way too early and leaving this guy in there way too long

Yes Koki asked him I believe. He was basically trying to keep it close and thought his offense could do something.

If vandy wins I'm blaming that poster MONROE for starting that dumbass thread.

He's probably a vandy fan
