It tends to leak out early sometimes.

Guarantees:
LSU will get a solid 2 that is capable of winning in BR. DBU being the most likely.

LSU will be paired with a regional host that has an elite ace and all American/all conference hitters. Knaak/Cannarella or Arnold/Lodise probably.

Just win.

Doesn’t this allow the fans that live outside of host cities to grab hotel rooms before the 2-4 fans do? They don’t know where they’re going yet. In most cases the teams were an assumed lock and wouldn’t apply but still one advantage of the way this was released.

I’m a little concerned they overweigh RPI. Auburn in the top 4.

That was a little surprising. They do have a huge number of Q1 wins and one of the top SOS.

They also won the 2nd most SEC series, IIRC

ETA: which works in our favor for a top 8 seed

LSU has got to start scheduling OOC better. Horrible OOC SOS is the reason this is even close right now

I’ve been saying that for years now.

Unfortunately this year though they had multiple teams drop late and they had to fill with RPI anchors.

didn't help two teams cancelled home series with us this season at the last minute forcing us to schedule IPFW as one of the replacements.

Right. It could be a sign of what they think of the strength of the SEC.

Dropping the top 4 is so fricking random...scares me seeing Auburn in there.

The consistencies between those teams is RPI and Q1 and Q2 wins. Going simply by that leaves you (excluding Tennesse and Ole Miss)

North Carolina
Georgia
LSU

One of Coastal/Clemson/FSU

Our OOC is usually quite poor anyway. I wonder who dropped. Jay should call them out

The field in Frisco looked better on paper than it turned out to be. Nebraska was preseason top 25 team who didn’t start playing well until the last month or so. And Sam Houston is usually a decent mid major but they were horrible this year.

I’m surprised something hasn’t leaked out yet.
