Not saying Myer had nothing to do with it, but as we'll learn next year, Tebow has had a lot to do with it.

I agree it won't be as easy w/o Tebow, but he is at Florida because of Urban Meyer. Tebow was a freshman in Meyer's SECOND year.

Let's face the facts, It all comes down to money. Unless Bill Gates or Donald Trump watches football, we dont have a chance in hell of getting a new coach until Miles' contract is up.

Frank Solich also left a message affirming what Nebraska just said.

Miles is no Frank Solich. ;)

Curious, How did Solich's record at Nebraska compare to Miles' at Okie State?

And you're right, LSU has absolutely nothing to offer those coaches they can't already get with their illustrious positions. Are you kidding me man?

You're right. I stand corrected. And FL was 9-3 that year. You're making my point for me.

I want you to say that Cinncinatti, TCU, and Stanford afford a coach the same opportunities that LSU does.

Really? Because I use Nebraska firing Frank Solich after a 9-3 season and then tanking as a counter argument to why the Ron Zook firing was such a great idea?

My four year old resorts to name calling when he has nothing good to say too.

We're not gonna hire a new coach and run the wishbone.

I think Paul Johnson would do okay on O with Shep at QB, Ridley at FB, and Calhoun (or LS) at TB.

You are right. From my completely biased point of view, LSU is a much better place to be. Most objective people would agree with you, but what we have is not good enough to 100% guarantee that the guy we want will say yes.

Well of course not. But it is a big chip in our favor, and I definitely feel that we would be able to hire an excellent coach that will restore the fire in this program because of our great situation.

They may not say yes, but it doesn't hurt to ask.

LSU can double their salary and put them in the best conference in college football.

I don't necessarily disagree with you. My argument is for the folks on this board who use the Ron Zook quick trigger firing as the one example that they hang their hat on as to why it would be a good idea to let Les go.

There's no mistaking that if Miles was fired, the hire would have to be handled well, both for the direction of the team and for national perception.
