Obviously, for those who are going to say it, I will help you out....PM knows what is best and will do so.

for TN i would start Ross friday night, but only let him go 3 innings. Bourgeouis goes another 3 innings Friday night, then some combination of Bradshaw,Moorman,Bertuccini,Rittner,Ott for the final 3 innings. Start Matulis on Saturday and Ranaudo on Sunday and again use our bullpen to finish what Ranaudo starts.
For the rest of the season, same thing except Ranaudo on Friday night and pitching later into the game

The only problem I see with limiting Ross to 3 innings no matter what is if he actually can eat up innings Friday and save the bullpen always if needed. I agree with some of your other points.

I would like to see if Ranaudo isn't starting Sun
Fri-Ross
Sat-Matulis
Sun-Bourgeios
(Ranaudo would be first man out the pen)

If Ranaudo is starting
Fri-Ross
Sat-Matulis
Sun-Ranaudo
(Bourgeios would be the first man out the pen)

I say AR on Friday nights, Ross on Saturdays and Matulis on Sundays.

The thing about Ross is he always seems to dominate and then have one inning where he tanks. I wouldnt mind him going past 3 innings as long as he had a short leash when he starts to have that bad inning.
ETA: same thing with Bourgeouis imo

you cant have a guy who can only give you 3 innings goin on friday night.....this allows the other team to see our bullpen much too early

once anthony is healthy it will allow our bullpen to be fresh until saturday and sunday and thats when lsu baseball will be at its best

i really hope bradshaw has played himself out of a weekend reliever role and is demoted to mid week starter. i dont consider myself a negatiger and root hard for all our guys, however he hasnt been up to par with our other relief guys. ...he has had good games here and there over the years, but overall he tends to give up several runs or leave us in a jam every time he's in.

ranaudo,ross,matulis ...starters
rittinier, bourgeois, morman, reed, bertuccini, ott ...relief

bradshaw, reidi, cotton, garret, lasuzo, alsup... midweek guys

Mainieri said that LSU might surprise us and shake some things up; use some guys in different roles to be stronger at the end of games. My best guess is that Matulis will replace Bourgeois as a weekend starter, but that Bourgeois would still be a long relief guy on the weekend.

Probably Ranaudo, Ross and Matulis as the weekend rotation as soon as AR is 100 percent. If ross stumbles, then Rittiner could eventually switch roles with him, too.

This is what you have to love about Mainieri. He isn't afraid to make bold moves during the season, just like with the Austin Nola move last year.
