Make it week 1, and make a weekend out of it. Soccer on Friday, Football on Saturday, Volleyball on Sunday...but whoever the team is.

I agree with the weekend approach but I feel like it has to be a weekend of football. I don't think the instate schools are gonna be running to sign up to get their arse kicked on a bigger stage than normal every year. BUT if you say you'll play LSU this year but next year you get to play Nicholls then teams might be more inclined.

Hell, could do it in the Dome to save the field in case of weather. Have LSU and Tulane rotate playing Tech and ULL to start then rotate in some of the other state school with LSU and Tulane playing each other in the night cap every 3 years.
