My hubs retired this summer after 23 1/2 yrs in the AF. We have been in GA for the past 7yrs. As a welcome home present my dad bought two season tickets for us to use. My dad is taking my 11 yr old son to his first game in TS. I took him to his first LSU game last yr in Gainesville. He had a blast, but he knows it won't compare to today. I find it fitting that my dad the LSU grad in the family take his first born grandson to his first TS experience! Geaux Tigers!!!

First.....Thanks to both of you, yes BOTH, for serving our country for so long.

As far as your son going to his first game....nothing like it...going to be extra special for you dad also! It would have been even better a night game but it will be a great atmosphere no matter what!!!

Going to be AWESOME weather today as well!!!

Get him hammered. No better way to celebrate your first game in Death Valley than a few keg stands and shots.

It's a shame you would subject your son to a public execution.
For real, that's awesome. Hopefully they have a great time.

My first thoughts exactly as well.

I was nine when I went to my first game in Tiger Stadium. It's a great memory...even thought we lost to the gumps.

Oh yeah, and one more thing...Harry & Scruffy, show some class.

Relax old man. It was a joke. Plus, I disregard all manners and forms of courtesy on game day.

Awesome. Taking my son to his first LSU game completely reenergized me about LSU sports. I've always loved it, but it's different when you get to experience it with your kids.

Thanks everyone....he just called and so excited. Our cousin was a Golden Girl and this is the alumni game. He will get to see her perform at halftime. She also walked down Victory Hill with the band. If he wasn't bleeding purple and gold before (he already was), he is now for sure and the game hasn't even started yet! LOL

I was 7 years old an I remember my first game in Tiger Stadium like it was yesterday. It was vs Kentucky in 1998 and Tim Couch led the cats down the field to set up the game winning field goal. Every time I step inside that stadium and make my way towards our seat, I get the same chills I got that very first time.
