Feist and Lamar Louis who had a pick 6 on Mett. Well I should say he had a pick 6 on Tyler Edwards after a 2 yard pass hit him in the chest and bounced straight up.

Really? We had 2 terrible Qb's last year and almost won the NC

Really? If Mett, Rivers, and Randall go down our quaterback situation is still better than last year. We had Jordan fricking Jefferson as a quaterback. It doesn't get worse than that.

I loathe the air jefferson breathes as much as the next person, but having a 3 year starting senior who knows the offense is better than having 2 RSFR with zero experience and who appear to need atleast another 2 years from being able to be effective in any substantial degree.
Usually a very good point, but the biggest flaw in this argument is the fact that Jefferson did not show 3 years of starting experience. If anything, whatever he learned from experience taught him to be an ineffective QB.
Heck, the Jefferson with 0 starting experience looked a lot better than the Jefferson with 1+ years.

Impossible.
You must really not like our backups.

Remember, Rivers had the 2nd team O-line, too.

Fun fact: that's his legal name

32, jalen collins, has a ways to go in covering the deep ball. they picked on him a lot. most of mett's yards came against him.
yet, sam montgomery said he is good

feist was a mfin steal. i hope that kwon gets some reps too. im excited about him. we pull in recruiting classes that lack stars but they put out more than texas, usc, and all the other overrated class.

We had 2 QB's on the bench last year that was better than the starter. Linebacker is not going to be a problem. The offensive line, including back-ups, is the best in LSU history. I am not saying that at times we didn't have A better player. But as a unit, this one is the best. This team will be as good as advertised.

Agree with everything the OP said. Would like to add:
Josh Downs really impressed me. "Stood out" would be even more accurate. He has really turned it up a notch so far. Never underestimate the urgency of being a Senior. Like he knows it's his last go round.

Not humanly possible.

:kige:
I think we could run out any of several guys that played HS QB but are now at different positions and it would at least be as good as what we saw from our 3 year starter. Paul Turner, Ronald Martin, etc.

Maybe a lot of Posters having realize it yet, but JORDAN JEFFERSON no longer plays for LSU. It would be nice to read a post were the kid is not being bash or talk about.
If bashing Jefferson makes you feel like a big man, then i feel sorry for you.

You do realize he was the last QB to play for LSU right? They are using him as a recent relevant basis for comparison. Past next year his name will never, ever be mentioned again. Book it.
PS: Hibernation season for JJ fangirls isn't over yet. Crawl back in your hole.

This.
You can resume the classless bashing of Tigers AFTER the next signing day, okay? And you might spread your angst out to include our first down defense in particular and offensive line that run blocked as badly as it pass protected. One guy did NOT let down 21. And special teams were less than special. We had a bad game as a team. These things happen. Picking out a scapegoat and flogging him to death makes you a worse fan than any of our QB's were QB's. Let it go. Look to the future.
