Any list that doesn’t include Ben McDonald and/or Furniss is laughable
Furniss was not even the best player on the team until 1998. And Trey Mcclure was arguably better.

Todd Walker has more championships than Paul and he played a lot less years
They each have one. Walker in 1993 and Paul in 2009.

To not leave off anyone really deserving, a Mt Rushmore of LSU Baseball would really need to be at least 8 strong

Skip said Joey and Walker were the best hitters he ever coached. Saw Joey in the Winn Dixie classic in the late 80’s hit a 450 ft Oppo blast in the dome against Prime Time and Florida State. Prime Time was saying he never saw anyone hit like that.

At one point, did we have Paul Byrd, Big Ben, Mark Guthrie and Russ Springer?
Wow

Skip Bertman
Joe Adcock
Alvin Dark
Warren Morris
ETA: Since Adcock and Dark are before the 4 decade cutoff, add Walker and Furniss.

Didnt he give up a walk-off grand slam in the CWS, while leading 5 to 2 in the 10th inning?
Thats a solid reason to leave him off
