And for those that make the argument that Blacks kill Blacks more than police do, only show their refusal to recognize a legitimate social issue.
2 wrongs dont make a right!!! One can recognize social injustice and support the majority of law enforcement officers. Its not an either/or thing for the majority of Americans. Only extremists on both sides would have you believe it is.
Im AA my father was an officer and Captain of the courthouse bailiffs. A person can recognize both sides and realize where change is necessary. Also, this issue has been raging for decades...
It took a pandemic, social media videos and most of all, younger, white people to recognize that there is a legitimate problem regarding the disparity in the treament by law enforcement officers of minorities. To those who need numbers or stats to support said issue, only highlights that you have NEVER been a victim and/or even known a person that has endured the same. Wouldnt expect you to fully understand, but to fail to have empathy, is very telling, to say the least.
